have we ever had a worse shirt

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

have we ever had a worse shirt

Post by greengooner »

Seriously, I have never seen a more shoddy tacky effort in twenty plus seasons. After much badgering by my eldest son i relented and brought him to get one, fuck me its bad, it looks like someone designed the badge with Tipex and that rubber red stripe down the arm just looks like electrical tape.
Do you feel like doing a Cesc and jumping ship, we are a joke at the moment prices goes up up up and the quality keeps falling at the same rate. Unfortunatly fans can't move like players so we have to hope things change.
God be with the days of Hillier and Mc Goldrick,we were shit but we were happy with our club.

fair play Reb but it is seriously 2nd rate, people laughed at the bruised banana but it was quality compared to this effort, my fav was the Dreamcast one as worn by Suker for a season

I quite like the badge to be honest. It looks much better than the half and half one we usually have. And i think the wreath around it adds a bit of class, although perhaps it could be slightly smaller. The away kit is a monstrosity though.

Well if you don't like the home/away shirts I will soon be in possession of 10 of the White Away shirts with blue pinstripe which the club turned down for this season.

Have had printed up with Red Name/Number on the back so it looks cool.

Comes with woven badge too so what are you all waiting for!!!

See the Away prototype shirt thread in for sale section for details!!!

FORWARD.. how ironic we have that on our shirts in this season where we have taken a marked backward step. Get your helmets on for the jokes about that one from the various Mancs, Chavs, 'dippers and Spuds.

I would say that at least it has the basics right, ie white sleeves. Not like that Charlton/Ebbsfleet knock-off from a few seasons back. Although the quality does look really poor on the new one.

Its funny when everyone complains about it like Arsenal is the ONLY team facing the commercialization of football. Every team is releasing new jerseys every year now and changing it to make money. Every team is starting to raise prices on everything. And if you hate our jerseys ask how liverpool feels about their third kit. Also if any of you are considering "jumping ship" then you don't have arsenal red running through your veins. Sounds like just a bunch of spoiled brats on here. I almost have to stop and look up and make sure I'm on an Arsenal forum the way some of you sound like spoiled man city or chelsea fans. When we win you all are loving everything and when we start loosing you all cry like a bunch of fans and start chanting against your manager and team. Who do you think we are? We have had a great 10 years of football recently and should be thankful we have been doing so well. If you really want us to spend hundreds of millions of pounds and cry everything we don't win and want to bitch about everything there is and not be a gooner and love this club go be a chav.
