We're all clearly aware of our shortcomings as a club at the moment but to suggest that you want the team to lose and not qualify to prove a point is just bullshit.

I hope the boys perform well and notch up a comfortable win. It would be great for the morale of the players and the fans.

We can express our grievances to the board and Wenger in other ways but by no means should it be to the detriment of the team. The team are more likely to lift and perform well if the supporters are behind them.

Could be 0:0.Which is better than 2:1.

If we bomb out forget about ''Super quality'' coming to join us.

No RVP,Samir,Fab4

How did it come to this?

We've shown them great support in the past and where has that got us?? Shit, non-caring and half-hearted performances that's where!!

Our once great club is now a greedy, lying and non-caring profit making machine that deserves the dose of reality that is now coming their way!!

I dont want us to lose but its hard to deny the logic of there being a silver lining to that particular cloud.

Wenger now only 10/1 with Paddypower for the sack, what price after a poor result in this game. :barscarf: :barscarf: Goodbye Arsene your days are numbered. :barscarf: :barscarf:

indeed it could be said, only slightly tongue in cheek that those supporters who dont want us to have a significant loss that could bring about change, are in fact less of a supporter than those that do, as they fail to see the bigger picture and what needs to be done for the greater good!!!

what would you rather, get in the CL and see no change, and inevitably get knocked out in the 2nd round or qfs and capitualte in macrh int he league, or see us lose in the qualifier, and a massive reality check for the board and aw ,and change being made, i.e the available money being spent and the ceasing of rewarding medioricity, and ultimately a change that will improve us short and long term than otherwise would occur if we just carried on as we are.

obviously we dont know that the above could happen. but it might.

Point taken, but i pay for a red level just to support the club even though it is of no use to me and my round trip from Aus cost me a conservative 5k last season to watch our insipid performances at Stoke away and Villa at home so I have some concept of what you're talking about - not the same I agree.

I haven't missed a live gooner game on Aus tv in years and despite all the shit we as supporters have to go through with the games our board play, only a very small part of the blame can be directed towards the players.

For those going, make some noise and support the boys and make your feelings known to the board after the game.

yawn, its not the board its the manager. why spend 12 million up front on a kid when you have other areas that need strengthening immediately? there is money as proved by this transfer, but if no further signings are made hes missspent it, and thats the mangaers immediate fault.

he may well go out and sign the required CB's DM's etc, but i cant see it myself.

The problem is that with our stubborn board and manager, we're not likely to see change with either scenario so I prefer to have some more delusional moments of optimism in the CL as opposed to seeing us play in the EL and finish fourth or battling it out with the spuds for 5th.

a lot of people are quite doubtful about tonights game and this season but dont forget we now have vermaelen back from last seasons long term injury. A likely new captain and a strong centre back to enforce our defence. We also have Aaron Ramsey who has started to look very good much like Wilshere who is unfortunately injured. Gervinho will be availible and rosicky has improved immensely

my thoughts on the above post:

a lot of people are quite doubtful about tonights game and this season but dont forget we now have vermaelen back from last seasons long term injury:1 bonus

A likely new captain: internally, so what plus we've lost our best player?

and a strong centre back to enforce our defence: Where???

We also have Aaron Ramsey who has started to look very good much like Wilshere who is unfortunately injured: remains to be seen hes not beyond the level he was before the break or wevn that level imo yet.

. Gervinho will be availible: same old same old

and rosicky has improved immensely: now i know you are joking

we all know what happened last year. at the moment we are indisputably weaker than last year, how is there any optimism at all?
