The man to replace Wenger

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The man to replace Wenger

Post by Wengerball »

Its quite clear that the vast majority of us on here want Wenger out and this realistically (fingers crossed) will happen in the near future.

What I would like to know from my fellow gooners is who we would replace him with?

Personally I would like to see Hiddink or Owen Coyle given a shot at the mangers job.

Hiddink did a great job at the Chavs when left the mess that Scolari had created and Coyle because I think his teams play a great brand of football and he gets the most from his teams albeit with very limited budgets.

Havent we had this thread recently?

For me use Moyes as a scapegoat bring him in for one season (and we will be even worse) to exorcise the ghost of Wenger which will hang over the club for a while, bit like Rioch/Wenger after Graham....... Then bring in a real manager my top 3 would be

1. Mourinho
2. Hiddink
3. Van Gaal

Tony Adams, with Martin Keown as defensive coach.

We may finish mid-table, but at least we'd have some legitimate 'fighting spirit'.

I like Owen Coyle. Sends his teams out to play nice football but knows how to defend!

WENGERS REPLACEMENT

Post by Herd »

I have it on good authority that JOE ECHEVARRIA is already in talks with the club once Wenger blows the last gasket and checks into the Priory where he has been expected for some time.

Joe has bags of experience and is a great leader ,exactly the type of person Ivan Gazidis and Stan Kroenke want for the club going forward !

You Herd it here first !
