As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I don't think so. He was already shit during pre-season games. Maybe we should sell Chamakh and keep Bendtner.
What chance do you have against the worlds greatest striker eh? As much as I hate Bendtner at least he can score more, which isn't saying much really. Unless Chamakh finds something by mid-season he needs to go, no excuses for his level of performance at this level.

To be fair, Dalgleish can't really laugh about much, he's probably still recovering from Aguero showing him what a £35m player actually looks like, the mags had his pants down and fucked him up the arse when they sold him Carroll for that much
We know what a £35m player looked-like. He was our captain.
But you are right, King Kenny must me getting a little more red faced at spunking that much money on 6ft 4in of long haired Geordie bar brawler.

Indeed. Fabregas, Aguero, Carroll. Spot the waste of money!

I remember last summer coming on here and saying a few times what a hit this boy would be in the Premier League when you saw some of the goals, particularly headed ones he got in France.
Then I remembered how good at crossing we were!
Overall so disappointed in him. Confidence? Dunno but we are severely light down the middle. Time for the chequebook.....
Something is wrong with him. His confidence is rock bottom and it's no surprise really. He was playing really well and was dropped when RVP regained his fitness. He deserved a decent run and didn't get it courtesy of a Senior player. That would not have helped. Then there were the rumours surrounding his supposed 'super injunction'.
I think his morale is low and he needs to be given the chance to play himself back into form. Arshavin was given this opportunity. He is clearly a good player but is struggling.

Yeah agree with this.
There were a lot of strong rumours about the super injunction re the hotel in vegas and I also heard he was being bribed, hence he just couldn't focus on his football and was dropped from the team.
At the same time there were also a lot of rumours about his sexuality which might have had something to do with it.
Don't know to be honest, but there's no doubt he's a talented player, his record speaks for itself really, you don't just become total shit overnight.

One of the Muslim members will have to clarify, but from what I have been told, Muslims do not have to fast during Ramadan if there is a reason not to (i.e. professional sportsman) and they can make up the fasts at a later date?
Even if he is fasting now during the days, it would not explain his marked downturn in performance since New Year's.
Q. Would Fergusmoan put up with some of the half-arsed, lazy bastard performances that our overpaid superstars put in?
Answers on a postcard please!
There's no doubt that something has affected Chamakh because his performances since the middle of last season have been shocking. But I suppose that's what you get when you bring free transfers in from leagues that are so much weaker than the Premier League.
