ARE WE IN FINANCIAL STRIFE?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I too was thinking along these lines.

Then we paid 12M for chamberlain

But we wouldn't be the first company to 'cook' the books.

Something isn't right, this transfer policy is so extreme, the idea that wenger is just senile and impaired is starting to look to obvious.

Just wtf is going on at this club???

No we are not in financial trouble, but we are being run like a club who is.

The same way that we are a big club with a small club mentality.

Arsenal FC: The world's greatest feeder club. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

With regards the players that have left or are about to leave, with the exception of Eboue who i'm not sure if it's his desire to leave or Wengers choice to sell him...The rest have chosen to leave, Wenger didn't want them to go, their sale was not to raise funds it was because they don't want to be here any more, nothing to do with the club needing money...

No we are not in financial trouble, but we are being run like a club who is.

i'm not so sure we are on solid ground .i,ve got no evidence and i dont pretend to understand the goings on at board /financial level .what i would ask though is ,in years gone by both within and without of wengers years,AFC have bought both good cheap players and expensive so called marquee players.so why has it changed now?season after season the word was he had 40 mill to spend,he never did.so after adding up all those 40's plus sales we should have a tidy sum stashed away.now we are expected to believe we couldnt sign anyone untill cesc was sold.surely if wenger wanted mata 6 weeks ago mushmanov or my freind stan would have obliged with a bridging loan.
so what are we to believe,we're told wenger is a genius,so its not his fault then.
we're told he has 40 mill to spend, what happened to the rest?
we're told wait till we get the dago's money, its on the drip,15mill up front.
i think there just a load of merchant bankers.
