Right, this is getting ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
WHO ARE WE SIGNING?
WHO ARE WE LIKELY TO SIGN?
WHO ARE WE LINKED WITH?
Nothing whatsoever from the club on this yet? What the hell is going on... Before Fabregas and Nasri (2 of our best players) we needed at least 3 proper signings to strengthen, at least. So now what?
Is it the board? Is it Wenger? What the hell is going on at our club?

i do feel your pain.
our defense wasn't good enough last season. so we've sold our first choice left back, and are replacing him with the squad player he was better than.
our defensive midfield area consisted of one player that wasn't good enough.
no change.
our attacking midfield housed 2 of our 3 best players, yet still wasn't creative enough when it mattered.
we've sold our best, most creative player, and are about to sell our 2nd most creative player.
in attack we had 1 very very good, but injury prone, player, and a lot of shit.
we've bought in one as of yet unproven player.
everything looks fucking great to me

It's got to the point where I think things are gonna kick off.
There needs to be another protest soon a.s.a.p and if no one listens there has to eventually has to be a boycott. Are you going to keep financially supporting something and getting nothing in return.
It's not a stock market ffs, this is supposed to be a respectable honest football club.

2nd most creative player.....did you know that Walcott, Song, Wilshere, RVP, Sagna and even Chamakh and Bendtner made more assists last season!!nexum5me wrote:i do feel your pain.

I can't boycott, I'm one of those sadists that must go even after nights like Real Zaragoza in Paris.woolwichgooner wrote:It's got to the point where I think things are gonna kick off.

and denilson is statistically the best midfielder in the prem!
i worded it badly as i was meaning attacking midfielders specifically, but out of interest, would YOU rather rely on song, sagna, chamakh or walcott if you were desperate for a goal (before this summer's bitterness re:nasri).
i'd also say that while jack is certainly "the future", nasri is currently a better, more creative player.
rvp is a different kettle of fish

The club is an absolute fucking joke. We could've signed many top class players who have moved elsewhere this summer...Falcao, Vidal, Enrique, Young, Sahin they all went for reasonable prices so Wenger can't use the 'too expensive' excuse. I've never been so fucked off with this club. Hope they get what's coming to them..a 7th placed finish. Bunch of wankers.

I am as angry as you, but I have never hoped to lose a game or finish behind the spuds!1989 wrote:The club is an absolute fucking joke. Yeah it was the 'creative' that done it. Losing Nasri would not be a problem for me if we signed Hazard or Mata, but the problem is I have severe doubts that would happen.nexum5me wrote:and denilson is statistically the best midfielder in the prem!

As I have said before, I don't know why we haven't tried to get Adam Johnson or even Milner as part of this deal.
that's the galling part! we've lost/are losing 2 key, key players and wenger doesn't even appear to be TRYING to replace them!!
i would've thought mata would've been a good signing even if we had kept cesc and nasri, but after (it seems) losing both of them, getting him AND someone else should surely be the bare minimum!
edit: adam johnson would be a great signing, but unluckily for us man city don't need to bargain cos they've got so much money

What are you talking about? AW said himself that he's been working some pretty late nights trying to secure the right players. In fact, on one occasion, I heard that he was still on the phone to an agent as late as 6.05pm.nexum5me wrote:we've lost/are losing 2 key, key players and wenger doesn't even appear to be TRYING to replace them!!
yes, but only to check that cesc had passed his barcelona medical and dna test!Bring Back Pires wrote:What are you talking about? I still laugh at people who think Wenger will do anything.
The fact that a club of Arsenal's stature, are going into a key league game against Liverpool with the very real possibility of starting Jenkinson (who was playing Conference footie a few months ago), Frimpong (WHO?) and Rosicky is an absolute farce.
I have yet to mention that Song is garbage, and that two years ago Koscielny was playing second division French football. None of the current Arsenal squad have the level bar RVP (when fit), Wilshere, Sagna and possibly Vermaelen.
Vermaelen is good but he has yet to consistently prove himself a big defender. Please remember that in his debut season he was an ever present in a defence that had our worst goals against league tally in a decade!
One injury to RVP and it's that limp-wristed fairy Chamakh.
One injury to Scezney and it's Fabianski the clown.
One injury to Vermaelen and it's one of Djourou or Shitachi.
Honest to God I've supported this club over 35 years and this is the most farcical state I have seen it in. Even when we had average players under Terry Neill you at least knew they had it in them to scrap. These lot are a disgrace to the name.
Wenger has ripped the heart out of his club and the most alarming thing, is that it's been allowed to get to this. Any serious club would have sacked this wan**r three years ago.
Based on his 'second for the next twenty years' comment alone he should be sacked. Absolute farce. Arsenal deserve nothing but failure for Wenger's arrogance, and that is what we shall get.

Do you remember the Zaragoza fans who climbed out onto the supports on the 1st level of the Eifel Tower to hang their flag.....? Mental!MickeyFabs wrote:I can't boycott, I'm one of those sadists that must go even after nights like Real Zaragoza in Paris.woolwichgooner wrote:It's got to the point where I think things are gonna kick off.

To Zaragoza I can add Valencia, York, Walsall, Luton, Winterslag (AKA Genk), Swindon, losing 0-5 at WHL...... I'll happily go and protest, but I could never not go!
