Hi!

I was off to spain the last two weeks, with no internet connection so basically didn't have any info at all on the transfer market.

I just came back and I would need confirmation on the state of thing:

Basically, we didn't buy anyone. Enrique went to FC victims, Falcao to Athletico, Mata is about to sign for Chavs, Cesc is off, Nasri is about to be, Clichy is off, we've been trying to sign average Jaglielka for 1 month now, the season has started and there's not many players left to buy that could improve our squad.

Is all of this true? Is it for real? Do we even have a full squad with all the players we sell and don't replace? :banghead:

Neil Ashton ( Sports reporter)
That's open for interpretation.

Wenger said that he'll MAY get a midfield player in... as we're short because of Diaby injury... Yes, I kid you not... he also sang the praises of Nasri, you couldn't make it up, the only thing missing was a couple of men in white coats to drag the *word censored* away..

So far:

Clichy sold to Man City for £7M.
Denilson loaned to Sao Paolo.
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas sold to Ipswich £1.1M
Cesc sold to Barcelona £24.5M, plus £880,000 per year, plus bonusses if Barcelona win trophies.
Eboue sold to Galatasary £3.1M
Pedro Botelho and Carlos Vela on loan in Spain.

Carl Jenkinson signed £1.1M
Gervinho signed £10.2M
Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain signed £12M rising to £15M for bonuses
Joel Campbell agreed deal with us, but the contract is not signed.

We need players!

So having claimed that he would only buy players of 'Super Quality' Wenger has said in his press conference today that 'Ox-Chamberlain, Jenkinson, Ryo and Gervinho are the aforementioned 'Super Quality'.

Despite what others have said about Wenger not signing anyone, I seriously didn't think he'd go into this season without at least 2 new and experienced players; 1 defender and either a forward or a midfielder. And this was before the Cesc and Nasri departures. Now it looks like we'll be lucky to get one more player. :banghead: :banghead:

Watching it live on Sky Sports News..... Wenger sitting there like a lost child, apparently Sneijder has been held up on the M25 from Heathrow. Nothing to worry about

The deal to take Nasri to Citeh is taking a while now. Does anyone else think/hope that it is on hold to allow Arsenal to arrange a replacement first to save getting rinsed on the fee?
