DO SPURS HAVE A BETTER SQUAD THAN THE ARSENAL??

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think some people forget how utterly fucking shit Adebayore was before he left us.

I've never seen such shit fuck about on the wing all day.

One good season. Plus he's a gigantic prick.

sp*rs have had a better squad than us for 10 years....on paper.

Sp*rs will be sp*rs, which equals poop coming out of a dough press.

As things currently stand and putting all gooner bias aside, I think any reasonable or objective person would have to admit that their squad is stronger than ours. Doesn't mean that they will automatically finish above us, though it makes it much more likely than it once was.

S***s squad is much stronger and with Diarra and Ade likely to arrive, they will without any shadow of a doubt finish above us this season. :banghead:

What Adebayor who had done fuck all? Diarra who seems to have been hailed as some great player yet Mourhinio - The best manager in the world - has twice got rid of him. And he the most defensive of minded managers.

I hate to say it, but Spurs absolutely have a better squad than us at this point.

They may not on 31st August, but on 19th August they sure do.

If they had a top quality striker (and i dont mean greedy) like we have then i would probably say they have a stronger squad. But as it stands they dont score nearly as many goals as their creative quality would suggest and their defence is nothing to write home about.

As things stand i would say we're at about the same level.

It's closer than it's ever been at this point of time, if we stay the way we are with no one else in and they get a couple of additions, them *word censored* finishing above us could just rest on a few dodgy decisions and injuries, which we're liable to get more of than them... a sad state of affairs that Wenger should hang his head in shame at, looking at his conference today, when pressed on any new additions, he said he may get another midfield player in as we're light there... what with Wilshere and DIABY (yes that *word censored*) being injured FFS!!! :banghead:

No point looking at individual ratings.

At this point as a team we are severely lacking, there is no chemistry, low morale and work rate.

Spurs last night destroyed Hearts, and while they are far worse than Udinese, I just couldnt see us going to Edinburgh and playing like that.

No surprise is it, because the current side is badly lacking experience, quality and depth.

I can see Spurs signing 2-3 players because they unusually havent signed anyone yet. I havent a clue what will do in the market, but I would say we would need about 4 players minimum.

If Spurs sign a good striker, Diarra and keep Modric, they is a big chance they could overtake us.

Looking at our team last season and the beginning of this I would say we are regressing at an alarming rate. Yes rubbish like Eboue, Denilson and clichy have gone but so have Fabregas and Nasri (2 of our 3 best players!) and they haven't been be replaced. So spuds are definitely closer to us and could genuinely pass us this year if Wenger doesn't pull his finger out of his arse and sign some players before 31 August. On June 1 imo we needed minimum of 4 top, proven players - 2 CBs, 1 CM and 1 CF, but that was with Cesc and Nasri still here! Wenger has shamefully allowed this situation to arise where we have gone so far backwards that spuds could conceivably finish above us this year and if that happens I really hope he doesn't wait to be sacked!

Everyone talks about Tottenham being this glorious attacking team....

1 goal in the CL knock out stages and a cheeky little look in the goals scored stat last year will prove this is a massive myth.

They are a good side now, i dont doubt it, but they are not going to be in the top 4.
