Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish on his side's win over Arsenal:

"To bring those two (Luis Suarez and Raul Meireles) on against Arsenal when it's 0-0 (and then win) shows you're only as good as your squad. We're stronger than we were last year. Arsenal weren't full strength but that's not my problem."

I seriously admire Dalglish, i grew up watching him play and his management at Liverpool and Blackburn.
I know he has his detractors, but the guy is honest beyond honest....

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on his side's 2-0 defeat by Liverpool:

"It looks like both goals were offside. The referees are (supposed to be) professional."

On the train home. Awful performance yet again, total shit. Never looked like scoring, couldn't string 3 passes together. It's heartbreaking to watch this club crumbling in front of your eyes due to the incompetence & negligence of a bunch of rich *word censored*.

That was like a Carling Cup team out there. Miquel, Lansbury, Frimpong, Jenkinson? And Dalglish can bring on Luis fucking Suarez?! Christ. :banghead:

I have absolutely no doubt we will go out of the CL on Wednesday & get utterly humiliated by the mancs.

Someone needs to get a fucking grip of things at this club.

please tell me he didn't actually say that. the 2nd goal, by the letter of the law, was not offside. and as henry used to exploit that law all the time i'm (not) suprised at wenger

If you can have pride in defeat then this was it. Arsenal lost the game - and we know what will follow that - but they have not lost their spirit"

What can you say to that.
Not surprised by this tripe considering I heard a rendition of "one Arsene Wenger" near me today. There are some utterly retarded *word censored* at our club from board level right down to the fans.

Defence and keeper deserved better from those in front of them. Frimpong was a second yellow waiting to happen.Yes he done well and showed great drive but he should have been dealt with by Wenger at half-time. I thought Ramsey, Arshavin and Walcott were bad beyond belief. No relief for the defence. The prophets of doom are being proved correct so far. First goal shouldn't have stood , but we were beaten by at best an average Liverpool team. On a seperate note Gary Neville does try to offer some intelligent contribution. Jamie Redknapp gets worse. Downing was his main man..

Wenger must be working secretly for the spuds!! How else can you explain his reasons for allowing our squad to become so weak? It just doesn't make any sense! 18yr olds sitting on the bench against LIVERPOOL  Walcott STILL used as a winger when he'd be far better used playing for someone else :? FUCKOFF WENGER  if you cant find with your supposed world renowned scouting system  any better right sided winger better than Theo fucking thumbs up Walcott or Nic a las I'm the dogs bollox Bentdner then may i suggest it's not fucking working anymore

On my way home now. As far as I'm concerned this anniversary season so far is an insult to the legacy of the likes of Chapman, Drake, Brady, Mee and Adams. So much for 'forward' right now. The only thing that would cheer me up is Arsene's immediate sacking or resegnation.

Also, who the fuck let Mike Riley in? After his actions at Old Trafford in 2004, he should have received a life ban from the club.

That was even more insulting than the pathetic performance.

Everytime I go to formulate a response I just think whats the point? It's just wasted words, Arsene will be going nowhere, the clubs in the shitter and the fat cats don't care so long as they get richer. Its only us lot that give a shit, sadly.
