Strike pair

Post by Goonanana »

Assuming RVP doesn't come back for another month, as its pretty obvious Nic Bendtner and Adebayor can't play together be that cos of playing styles or not liking each other so my question is...(when the clown is back off suspension) do we

1. Partner Theo up with Ade
2. Stick with Ade and Nic
3. Play one up to with Rosicky in a 5 midfield

Another question..if Ade wasn't going for top goalscorer or more importantly scoring in his 7th/8th prem game on the trot would he have squared it??

I dont think Ade and Bendtner can play together ( in my opinion) there were times on Saturday where I thought they got in each others way. Id be happy to say I was wrong and retract my statement too if it works!

Dont know if this has been picked up on this site but we are eligable to call vela back from his loan.

Although i think it's a bit unfair to call him back and hope that he can "rescue" us a bit. I do think that considering how well he has done over in spain, that a bit of pitch time over here before the end of the season will bed him in well for next year.

but on the options availble to us now, i would go with Ade and Walcott

Theo and Ade upfront. Theo is on fire after saturday.Surely Rosicky will be fit for Villa so he can play on the right.

Not sure theo is strong enough yet to be upfront.. still looks abit like a boy amongst men at times. I think super nic could do job up there i really do.

Leave Nic on the bench. ADE up front on his own with 5 man midfield and hey presto were fucking champions.

I think we should have hleb up top with ade like we did at the start of the year we looked good and hleb was scoring goals then aswell also give us a bit more stability if we need to protect a lead.

Theo will have to play in the next to games any way as Eboue is banned.

Not sure I agree or like the way we play with it but will be very surprised if we do not see a lot of Ade up top with Hleb sitting just behind. Hleb likes the position and Arsene seems (or certainly earlier in the season) to like it. My reservation is I don't feel you see the best of Ade in that role.

Would like to see Theo get a run at it in his actual position but is a hell of a risk. If it works champs and Theo proves to be the player we thought he might. If it does not we are runners up again, silverware-less again and Theo proves to be the player we all are starting to fear he might.

Not sure I buy all the Ade and Bendtner can't paly as they don't get on. Ade has scored in 7 straight prem games and 8 in 9 or whatever the stat is. I think he backed himself (who would not on the current form) and went for it. The way Bendtner had been playing he was just as likely to put it in row z than goal...we will never know. COME ON ALL THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET GET THE WIGAN TICKETS AND BEHIND THE LADS.

i think Ade and Walcott - now hes got a couple of goals, he just needs even more game time to continue getting more and more confident. Ade and Bendtner don't work well together for me
