As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Nutty said on ssn this morning that wenger will never change his transfer policies so to all you guys who still have faith that the man does see what is wrong and is about to fix it what do you say to that ? I can never understand how these people are 100% sure that wenger is about to tear up a transfer policy that he has used almost his entire managerial career
The problem is that we MAY be interested in Hazard but Lille do not want to sell and they want to hang onto him for another season.
With him signed up on a long term contract they are under no pressure to sell to anybody.
We said the same about Cesc. If we came in with a big enough offer (a laughable statement I know) and perhaps a player or so it could swing it especially if he wanted to go.
It's hilarious, it doesn't matter if we are interested in Hazard, M'Vila, Sneijder or Messi.......WE WON'T PAY THE REQUIRED TRANSFER FEE!!
Wenger will want Hazard for 14m or so, they want 25m. He'll never sign for Arsenal.
What makes me sick, is that we want 25-40m for our best players and yet if we were to replace the ones we sold with equally gifted players, we only want to pay 12-15m. What should have happened is we sell Cesc for 35m and sign Sneijder for 30m. Sell Nasri for 22m and sign Hazard for 25m.
It costs us maybe a few million more in wages but we replace 2 quality players who don't want to play for us with two quality players who 'do' want to play for us, and also send a great msg to the other players, fans and opposition.
Arsenal Football Club have no ambition whatsoever apart from making a profit. How fucking sad!
The main thing is the wages with a lot of thes eplayers though. With soemeone like Hazzard the wages would not be Sneijder like level, so Arsenal could be prepared to spend a big transfer fee as it'll be set off against the wages (say 80-100k)
Kjaer is on the move again - this is a guy that impressed me a lot whilst playing for the danes in world cup finals in south africa last season and was transferred to wolfsburg for 10m shortly afterwards.
Personally I would compare him to jageilka in that he defends well but isnt the big physical commanding centre back that we desperatly need but of course he is only 22 years old so would be younger and cheaper than the everton man - I know we aint linked with him as such but there is another un-named club in for him and he fits into our price range so maybe it is us ?
