I'm not getting carried away by this result against a team that hasn't even started their season yet but we did the job we needed to do and I'm delighted with the lads for that.
But please God don't let Wenger now think these lads are a complete team because they are not. He has got to strengthen that back 4, and (now) the midfield and in all honesty we need another striker for when RVP goes on his annual injury holiday... A great and important result but swallows summers etc and all that...
We really need to sign a big name or two before Sunday. Does anyone know when the deadline would be for a player to register to be eligible to play on Sunday? This is just so I can stupidly build by hopes up and then be crushingly disapointed!!
Great result which is all that matters, Scezceny saved the season in more ways than one, Gervinho was threatening, Djourou and Song alarming, Wenger baffling by taking Frimpong off who won us the right to play and not convinced by Ramsey.
Tonight answered a huge question, we will buy no one, just seen Wenger interviewed who stated that we have a big squad and we will see how good it is as Diaby and Wilshere need to return, mind boggling.
Thanks Arsenal for not destroying my birthday though.

Kudos to the team tonight they earned the right to play with the big boys in the CL- I could highlight some negative points but I'll give it a rest tonight to savour an important victory.
Our Goalkeeper was the standout performer for me (I cant spell his name lol) along with Frimpong who did a good job at breaking up play in the 1st half.
Sagna did well as per and Jenkinson really impressed me tonight bearing in mind his age and previous standard of football.
TV5 was solid and should definitely be appointed captain on a full time basis. I would love it if we could get a quality centre back in to play alongside him....
SORRY I couldn't keep up the positivity for long Im hyperventilating
Didnt see any of the 1st half so cant comment on any of that.
It goes without saying that the brilliant penalty save from chesney turned the game in our favour If they had scored again so soon after we scored then we would have been under severe pressure and in all likelihood would have collapsed. Credit to the team tho cos they got the job done and that is all that mattered tonight
Like most of you I certainly wont be jumping about in wild celebration though - good result as it is, it was against a team than we should be beating 99 times out of 100 anyway and as DB has said their season hasnt even started yet so their level of match sharpness should be behind ours.
No excuses now wenger.........you have a sizeable transfer kitty, we are in champs lge so players will have that added attraction to sign for us so pull your fcuking finger out and sign some proven quality you dozy old *word censored*
