Anybody knows what's going on with Christian Eriksen from Ajax? Everytime I've seen him (which I admit is only a handful) he looks very exciting...way more direct and effective I've ever seen Nasri.

With Dennis at Ajax surely we should be at pole position for this player....

Saw something in the paper about him a few weeks ago with him quoting he didn't want to leave Ajax yet as he felt he was too young to go abroard.

Wenger keen to strengthen
Gunners boss looking to flex muscles in transfer market
By James Pearson Last Updated: August 24, 2011 8:07am

.

Wenger: Will be trying to add fresh faces to his Arsenal squad this month

....Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to strengthen his squad following the sale of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri's imminent switch to Manchester City.

The Gunners reluctantly agreed a deal with Barcelona to allow Fabregas to return home while Nasri's refusal to extend his stay meant the club were always likely to cash in.

The club have landed the likes of Gervinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson, but fans are keen to see more fresh faces as Wenger seeks to end their six-year run without silverware.

The transfer window closes in a week's time and the Frenchman insists the club will be bolstering their injury-hit squad following an inauspicious start to the new Premier League campaign.

"Football rules are made like that, that the player can be worth a lot of money today and nothing in six months."

Arsene Wenger

Quotes of the week

"We will strengthen our squad of course, in the coming weeks," confirmed Wenger in the Daily Mirror ahead of Wednesday's crucial UEFA Champions League play-off against Udinese. "Hopefully we can manage to do that."

In the coming weeks ?? :? The transfer window closes in 7 days you old fool    :banghead:

And I saw something in the paper that he was keen to go to Man Utd when he eventually decides to leave Ajax.

More Wenger on C+: 'We have excellent players who are 18 or 19. If we dont find replacements (for Cesc& Nasri) we'll show faith in them'
And it's back down to earth with a bump courtesy of Monsieur Wenger

IF we do sign any players before the weekend (notice the big 'if') then what would be the deadline for them to play at OT? Just wanna build my hopes up so that they can be horribley dashed again.

Just realised that I am starting to feel/think like a self harmer!!!!

We can always rely on Wenger to dampen our moods.
