Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Of course signing Joao Moutinho wouldn't be a bad idea either....
Just to clarify where I'm coming from mate - I liked Rosicky, but since coming back to the teamm he hasn't come to the fore. He is, at the very, very least an experienced player but we saw little to none of that last year (when it was really needed). New season, few games where he looks busy and he's the answer? For me, no. The chance of him leaving is thin as Wenger is just using him to cheaply fill a position that otherwise he'd have spend money on filling.

In line with the £6 million bid for Cahill, rumour has it that Arsenal have approached Barcelona regarding a £8.25 million bid for Messi and Silva.

Fuck me we payed £2.5million for Ian Wright nearly 20 years ago and Wenger wants to pay just £3.5 mil more for an Egnland centre back :banghead:

And we paid £12-15m for oxtail-chambermaid 10 minutes after his balls dropped. £10m for Koscielny - even though I rate him that was a ridiculous fee all things considered. £3.5m for Denilson.

Didn't we pay £6m for Squillaci?  :banghead:

Yup. And that would explain the £13 mil spent on Oxpot, the mega contracts handed out to Song, Diaby, Eboue, Rosicky, Bendtner, and Denilson, Vela's contract extension a year ago, and spending £10 mil on a centre back that was playing French division 2 football just over a year and a half ago! Did I mention the manager earns £6.5 mil a year btw?

Stop trying to find excuses to excuse Wenger. Has it ever occurred to you, that perhaps Wenger is so entrenched, so tight, and so desperate to be proven right, that going out and spending big would be an admission of failure?? Spending big on the defence and on strikers proves the whole world right and marks the end of project youth. Wenger is an arrogant *word censored*.
Do you honestly think he is gonna give in? :banghead:

Wait until the transfer window closes. He's hardly going to promise to sign 3 and then every club in the world beefs up their prices to £100m a player and then we can't get anyone.

That said, it doesn't stop me checking twatter every 2 minutes for any sign of transfers. As bad as it sounds think everyone is writing off the OT game on Sunday and then signings will happen at the start of next week.

If we are in for a DM, surely today would be the day to go and do it? Sunday will not be fun without one.

Do you honestly believe that? It's far more likely that he won't sign anyone.
