Ticket Demand Falling ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ticket Demand Falling ?

Post by Peeman »

Took ages for Liverpool to sell out - normally sold out in a morning

Udinese went on general sale

Swansea on general sale

Blackburn away on general sale

I would definitely have thought twice before renewing season ticket if I'd have known about the lack of transfers and the new found availabilty of tickets.

If only there'd been a precedent in previous years...

i agree

but after last seasons worst run of form EVER since 1995 i really thought change was going to happen. Addint to the fact other clubs are spending lots of money and football is changing so much

but we was lied to again by WENGER!!!! and the board just to boost st sales AGAIN

I really hope we struggle to sell every game

Wait til the winter. Going to be literally half empty. They barely sold out Liverpool at home - big game, first home game of the season.

Wait until we play the Wigans on a freezing January afternoon. No chance.

Makes sense really and thats why the 6.5 percent increase from the club was so laughable.

The team is at its lowest point in 15 years. The manager is not correcting changes. The football is no longer entertaining. The atmosphere is completely shite for most games and shows no signs of improving,

And with all that there is a recession going on with many people jobless and on low incomes with no hope of paying these prices.

Now if the ticket prices had CAME DOWN this year, like they should have by about 10 percent we wouldnt have this problem.

The amount of empty seats at Liverpool was ridiculous for the game magnitude and time.

As others have said who will turn up vs Wigan at home when we are on a bad run? Not alot I assume.

In all seriousness, giving up my ST this season was the best decision I have made in about 10 years!!

Jack the prices up, sell your best players & buy none you say? Why aren't they queuing round the block?!

I honestly hope we play to half empty stadiums in the winter. Those *word censored* at the top need to realise this shit can't carry on.

I take your point, but recall in previous seasons that it's always slack at this time of year. You only have to look around my office today to see that most people are still on their hols.

Oh, how Arsenal used to take the moral high ground about "no league games ever go to general sale". How we laughed at Chelsea flogging their tickets in The Daily Mail & on bus shelters.

What ye sow, so shall ye reap.

No I won't 8) I'm guaranteed a ticket for every home match on my silver 'bond' membership! Good thing is, I'm also not commited to buying any either :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Fair play sir. I'm silver member too, so have no interest in a ST at all. Silver > Gold easily, unless you want to sit in the same seat every game of course, but I couldn't care less about that.
