Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

According to the Grauniad, Wenger is still confident of signing M'Vila for £22m.

yep said
'There is a chance we could not sign anyone... we are dependent on the desire of the clubs to sell players'

Although, Arsene, we also dependent on arranging a relistic transfer fee.

Yeah, should have picked Parker up, especially with our midfield problems. Though he does have injury problems. But still, we could have got him.

Hopefully that means they're not getting Diarra, at least. :? He would have been better for them, especially long term.

Clutching at straws.

What pisses me off BIG time - Is that people (Gooners and many other footie fans ) are only too willing to Believe what they read in the papers...I'm NOT avin' a go MK...you are just cutting and pasting from the Beebs website...and I would love some of the good (transfer) rumours to be true...But, I know that a large majority of the media (even some journo's who are Gooners - or claim to be  ) are in the middle of a Wenger and Arsenal witch hunt...

Mind you there are some Gooners on here so negatively Entrenched In Their Own Bucket Of Wenger Hating Bile...No matter what does or does not happen or what is or is not true.
Oh yeah that old chestnut. We cannot think for ourselves, IT'S ALL THE MEDIA'S FAULT THEY HAVE IT IN FOR ARSENE!
Once you've calmed down, you might care to go on Twitter, and read what BOLTON CHAIRMAN Phil Gartside had to say: he confirmed the £6 million bid from Arsenal, and had an almighty pop at Wenger and the club, calling it a joke.

But yeah. The media made it all up cos it's a witch hunt agains Wenger.
Calm down!?    there's a difference between being p'd off and being ANGRY!...still that is beyond some people's comprehension....Wenger was not part of the conversation between the 2 clubs....Owen Coyle has just said that....Even so, Wenger himself has also said the figure (£6mill) is untrue....so obviously someone is 'mistaken'.....and neither you or I know the exact truth, and I'd love to now what that is...But I'm willing to wait and see - if it ever comes out (which is doubtful)...I'm as anxious and hopeful (praying doesn't cover it!) for new signings of 'quality'...but it is beyond my control, so have to wait...and then if necessary I will only too readily criticise and 'Protest'....Sadly you seem only too willing to believe someone outside of the club you support....(ie: read the reports and believe thjem without even questioning them) and slag off Wenger...and in case you hadn't noticed -Regardless of the feelings of the fans...the media have done a pretty good job of hounding Wenger these past 6 weeks or so....I know that's what they do - build em up and knock em down, but that doesn't make it right....They were all waitiing (and probably hoping) we would lose to Udinese - so they could really stir up the smelly stuff.....and of course there are Gooners too who just add their (mindless ) voices to the throng...even before the Fat Lady has....sung.

btw: IF £6mill was the figure offered - Then that is insulting....so we shall have to wait and see.... :anyminute:

I know he's a *word censored*...But only left because he wasn't first choice...he would be now, but wenger has that (stupid) policy of not bringing any players back, though of course he made an exception with sol and crazy jens...maybe he could do so again....Diarra (even though a *word censored*) is a really good player and could do a job for us...
