As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He goes on to say his time has been taken up this summer by the players going out....
''HIS time has been taken up'' because of course there is no one else at the club that can deal with these things..
You know the more the f*cker speaks the more i want him gone...He's had three months to sort out the players we need and now in the last week of the transfer window, this is what he comes up with as an excuse for doing almost nothing...
The sad thing is even after reading this sort of shit and multitudes of other comments like it, that make it painfully obvious that he is the one that makes all the decisions about players coming and going, he's the one that decides how much he will or won't pay for players.. there is still plenty out there that will still convince themselves he is some sort of powerless puppet that has all this shit thrust upon him by the big bad men in suits..
I'm at the point now where i just want him gone and for us to get a manager, any manager, that just does his own job properly, manages the football team, does whats best for the football team...And keeps his f*cking nose out of the money side of the club...and let those that get paid to deal with that stuff, do their job.....
Two would be the bare-ass minimum. Either a winger to replace theo upon moving him central or a new striker with pace. And a quality central midfielder.
I'd like a new centre half in an ideal world but for me it falls behind these two in the pecking order. If we dont significantly change our attacking system from the cesc era (which we havent so far ) we're going to have a truly fruitless season. We could become something approaching a good side again if we re-embraced 4-4-2 and added some pace upfront.
As for the centre half issue - i rate Koscielny and i massively rate Vermaelen, i think the latter is going to really step up to the plate in terms of being the alpha male of our defence in a way that is hard to do in your first season with the club. The main issue with our defending, aside from set pieces (which im not convinced is a personnel issue), is how we flood our midfield forward at every opportunity (see: earlier point about attacking system) like we're barcelona or something only to realise that we're not barcelona and cant keep the ball anywhere near as well. Our defence is then left exposed with our midfield in a different postcode.
Basically Arsene, do your fucking job and coach these lads into a solid unit that can defend and attack (crazy, i know) because all this current shit will do is destroy their confidence even further as the season goes on.

I had wondered about this..... I can kind of understand why he would be involved in transfers IN, although even then this should be more about highlighting who he wants than the negotiations themselves. But why the f*ck would he be involved in transfers OUT, apart from maybe saying what was a fair price?
Is this not what Gazidis is supposed to be doing?

the manager himself has admitted he has left himself with 4 days in the market to bring in three players, what does that say about his time managment skills.

It also didn't help with Wenger going on holiday early on in the transfer window, I'd also bet that if there would have been a tournament he would have gone there also...
Hopefully this is his last season of fucking about and dithering in transfer windows. New man in next year. I honestly did think that if we lost against Udinese and lost today he would be on his way, with Mourinho given his grief with the Whores ready to step in.

Spot on Augie. Mind you what did you expect? After all it was started by the forum's 'linguistic mangler' Boomer.
