Apparently we bid 6mil for Cahill

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm pretty sure AW is used to tight deadlines, judging by the Arshavin deal.

It's Gartside and Coyle that are the issue

Yep, got to agree, I think Wenger got his bid right on this performance, although don't forget, Cahill played alongside Knight and he was his usual shit self, I still prefer Samba among all the centre halfs that we've been linked with, Samba and TV would be a great pairing, Samba is a proper centrehalf who throws his body in the way of shots, instead of bottling, I want Samba.... please...Arsene do this deal.... :barscarf:

Coyle said his head has been turned by our interest, hence the poor performance. I'll be surprised if he's not an Arsenal player on September 1st.

Good point made on Sunday supplement.

Wenger held on to Cesc and Nasri all summer to try to get another 10m out of the deals. Now he as 3 days to buy, everyone knows he has money and it will probably cost 10m more for the players he wants.

I don't think he'll buy any decent player, he'll just say he tried but couldn't tie up the deal, and go on to say how we have a strong squad and have the belief to finish with a top 4 trophy! :banghead:
