In all fairness I am surprised that it has taken so long for arteta to be mentioned as a possible replacement for cesc

Arteta is a good ball playing midfielder that is good at set pieces plus is already adapted to english football

My only concern with making an approach for him would be that it would kill any hopes some of us had that baines might be a transfer target cos there is no way that the toffee's will sell us 2 of their main players in the one week
