How confident are we of winning the silverware

Post by George25888 »

Although we dropped points at the weekend we are still 3 points clear in the league, however we are struggling slightly in the champions league, so exactly how confident are we of winning something this year, and if we dont what will the concequences be come the end of the season, spend big? new boss? will players start to leave?

I think we will win the league,

I also think we still have a good chance of going thru to nxt round in CL,
this is the best season we have for a while so enjoy it and be optimistic, with players coming back i think we have every chance.

New boss ???? fcuk off ! !
If some player go then fuck um I don't think many will want to go they all respect AW to much. I think if we dont win anything Gallas may go, don't know why but think he wants to win and if he don't with us he may go Italy or spain.
As for do I think we will win anything? I go in to every game thinking we are going to loose and never think we will win a trophy, that way I dont feel so let down when we dont. So I don't think we will win anything but I'm not a gooner cos I we win. I'm a gooner till I die even if we never win another trophy. But I would so love to win 1 this year please, please I promise god I wil eat all my greens and wont look at the milf over the road ever again.

bookies have us as 2.18 (6/5)to progress to next round in CL,
1.8 (4/5) to go out. so its still very close.

Where is all the negativity coming from???

i strongly beleive we can do it this season. I think the players are up for it more than ever and im gunning for the title, i would love it "keegan" if we win it, get a ticket for the stadium of light. im getting carried away already.

Come on Arsenal. Us the fans lets give them are upmost support and bring back our trophy.

Suppose the champions league will do if not.

I feel the more experience this team gets they will just get better and better. And if we do narrowly miss out on a trophy this season then surely next season will bring rich rewards.. Our boys are still very young.

I still hold out hope for this season tho. Remember of late we have got some good results in the Big games, so i dont fear man u and chelsea away so much.

I think we can win the Premiership. If you put your mind to it, it is actually great that we are in the title-race, 3 points ahead with 11 games to go. I think most Arsenal fans would have been happy to finish in top two as the season started. We are in a good position so it is 100% up to Arsene Wenger and the players to deliver the goods.

Champions League is something else really. You can never predict what will happen in it. We might get Porto or Schalke with the 2nd leg played at home in the next round or Barcelona with the second leg played away. So I can’t say anything about the Champions League, and we actually have to beat/score-draw against AC Milan at first which won’t be easy at all.

Consequences if we don’t win anything? Don’t really think much will happen; can’t see any massive departures, anyway. I am sure that Arsene Wenger will stay with us for a long time. About spending big. Hopefully we’ll sign some players that will clearly strengthen our first team, not the squad but the actual team. Top class keeper is needed, Almunia is alright but we must have the worst Number 1 out of all big clubs in Europe. Proper left-footed left-winger because Diaby isn’t one and will never be one, Rosicky is too injury-prone and he isn’t really a left-winger. Maybe a striker, Bendtner and Walcott not up to it yet, we all know what happened to Eduardo and Van Persie can be world-class when he is on the pitch but not in the treatment room.

It's usually against the weaker sides that we struggle. They know that to try and play us gets them slaughtered so they start with a 10-0-0 formation and stick with it. I'd rather have a run in against teams that need a win themselves for survival/qualification to europe. At least they will come out and play

"There is nothing wrong with trying to win, so long as you don't set the prize above the game. There is no dishonour in defeat, so long as you play to the limit of your strength and skill.
What matters above all is that the game should be played in the right spirit, with the utmost resource of skill and courage, with fair play and no favour, with every man playing as a member of the team, the result accepted without bitterness or conceit."
