EDUARDO INTERVIEW- wha the Media *word censored* do not want u to see

Apparently this story has been taken off the SKYSPORTS website, but I got it before they did. It doesn't surprise me that the British press have gone out in defence of Taylor. They did it for Roy Keane & toady he is a football manager..........John Terry intentionally wanted to break to break Fabregas, but not much of it was mentioned.
Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva has accused Martin Taylor of trying to injure him on purpose in an interview with a Brazilian newspaper.
Eduardo suffered a serious broken leg after being caught by Taylor during Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Birmingham at the weekend.
The Croatian international has undergone surgery on the injury and faces up to nine months on the sidelines.
Reports in England have suggested Brazilian-born forward Eduardo has forgiven Taylor for the incident after the Birmingham player visited him in hospital, but speaking to Brazilian newspaper Globoesporte, Eduardo claims the tackle was malicious.
On purpose
"Taylor was malicious with what he did. I don't remember well what happened and I don't want to see the action on television or in the papers. But what I know is that what he did was on purpose," Eduardo told Globoesporte.
"I want to get through this terrible moment as soon as possible.
"I only remember when I fell to the ground and saw my foot all twisted, then I don't remember anything else.
"Now the only thing that I want to have in mind is to get recovered in the best way possible."
The injury means Eduardo will miss this summer's Euro 2008 and the striker admitted it was a major blow to be ruled out of the competition.
"I was sure that I was going to have the chance to play in the European Championship but now I have to forget about that chance, that is now in the past," added Eduardo.

And I think a lot of us agree with Eduardo. Injuries happen in football, even bad ones, we can accept that. But Taylor went to take out Eduardo, simple as that.
The desire on the part of football old pros, journalists and pundits, to gloss over what really happened, stinks. Taylor should be used as an example, he should be given an extremely heavy punishment to tell those who lack skill but have plenty of brawn that they can no longer get away with this stuff. But that's plainly not going to happen.
Underneath all of this, I think the reason so many British and Irish ex-footballers are lining up behind Taylor is their reluctance to accept the foreign influence on the English game. They recognise that the game is more skilful and faster but they have difficulty letting go of the game as it was. Taylor is their symbol of the "good old days", when you could kick a player like George Best or Paul Gascoigne all game without getting a booking, when pitches were like ploughed fields, and the game moved at the pace of continental drift.
I say fuck them. Eduardo was targeted and the person responsible should be punished for that.

Well said Eduardo
I said when i first saw the incident that Taylor set out to do Eduardo. The ex players/pundits who said the "tackle" was an accident and these things happen on a football pitch should be ashamed of themselves.
A 3 match ban is a fcuking joke. The punishment should fit the crime. Why cant Taylor be banned until Eduardo play again?

i suspect the story was pulled at insistence of arsenal's press office. sky could well have been told - leave this up and you won't enjoy any further access to the players. so it's not necessarily the british media. the press office at arsenal have a bit of a reputation for this kind of thing i'm afraid. think pravda in communist russia. any interview that the UK nationals print with a player - organised by the club - is done so on the basis that the press office have copy approval. so for example, when kolo toure speaks about his muslim faith, that kind of thing is edited out. why? god alone knows. as this one was done originally by a brazilian journo, the press office were powerless to stop it, but they can prevent its reproduction in the UK

Good suggestion from IHH. Anyone want to draft the text for a suggested email?
And to back up what I said earlier about this whole episode being an excuse to get at the foreign influence in the game, here's something DB10 found, written by Alex Ferguson's favoured cock-sucker, Lou Macari (see the Arsenal are the villains .. again thread):
"Unfortunately for Arsene, pictured, he seems to think there shouldn't be any tackling in the game.
But English football is still a physical game, just, and long may it be so.
Taylor's challenge was because he was out-done by the speed and skill of a better player.
That's always been the way in this country - and always must be."

So Macari wants to see footballers continue to break lads that are faster, more skillful, etc - in order to preserve the "English way" ?!!26may1989 wrote:Good suggestion from IHH. Anyone want to draft the text for a suggested email?

so in other words he thinks it's okay to gain an advantage over a superior opponent by resorting to methods outside the rules. cheating in other words. how admirable.Taylor's challenge was because he was out-done by the speed and skill of a better player.

many people hate the idea but i for one pray for the day when a european super league is introduced, play Real Madrid and AC Milan instead of shit like wigan and birmingham, who want to do nothing but beat up our players... yes fucking please!

just read another article on that page about gordon taylor writing a letter to eduardo and taylor. He sticks up for taylor straight away saying he is often refered to as the 'gentle giant' and how he hopes taylors can over come this and return to playing football. what a fcukin joke. no doubt taylor will be back a whole lot quicker than eddy will be
Gordon Taylor, possibly the biggest waste of space in English football. And no shock him preferring an English PFA member over a foreign PFA member. 100% wanker.Yorkshire_Gooner wrote:just read another article on that page about gordon taylor writing a letter to eduardo and taylor.
