Talk of relegation is silly. Not because we are good enough to avoid it but because the PL has so many shitter teams in it. We will finish somewhere between 8th and 4th depending on who (if anyone) gets brought in before Wednesday and who (if anyone) gets signed in January and who (again if anyone! ) stays fit for most of the season.

Current squad I'd say will be 8th. A few additions in the right areas? 6th or 5th maybe. Some top quality signings? 4th.

Of course all that boils down to Wenger.

8th so... :(

would swansea or norwich go to OT and get spanked 8-2? are you so certain that we will beat swansea at home next game?

I´d say some top quality signings AND a new manager: 4th place is possible.

Tick tock. Wednesday 11pm.
If he signs 3 quality players will any of you be satisfied and get behind the team and management?
For me this is the last roll of the dice...C'mon Arsene change the record and go for it!!!

They may do. Teams other than us have shit days too. The point is that league position is decided over 38 games not 1 game. There are at least 10 maybe 12 teams that would finish behind even the current shit Arsenal squad we have. The PL (contrary to the skysports myth) is not a great quality league. It is an exciting league yes, but the quality is not there outside the top 3 or 4 teams.

We are shit at present but no where near shit enough to go down. I will take anyone's money on that.

Swansea or Norwich probably wont lose by 6 at Old Trafford, but Arsenal are still very comfortably a top half of the table side. This season you've drawn at Newcastle, drawn with Liverpool and beaten Udinese in a CL qualifier before losing at Old Trafford, I'm not sure why from that you think you could genuinely be one of the bottom 3 sides. I agree with DB10, with what you have you'd probably be 5th or 6th, with a couple of good signings you could take 4th. Time will tell but I would be amazed if you were even bottom half come the end of the season nevermind relegated

He's gotta do a fuckload more than just sign some quality players to redeem himself. The lack of signings is just part of the issue, he'd need to do a miraculous u-turn on just about every aspect of his management at this point. Never gonna happen.

Yeah that's long gone for me, its just a question now of how much shit he leaves us in by the time he goes.

oh fuck aye, so you did. Oh well you're fucked then

Nah, dont know why i had in my mind that youd drawn, i think just because i was reading the tipster thread and remembered that i had it down as a draw!

Oh well, I stand by the rest of the post  You'll be 6th at worst this season, as DB10 says the league is exciting but it certainly isnt of a great standard. Obviously you'll finish behind Man United, Chelsea and Man City but other than them I think you have as much chance as anyone- Liverpool look okay and could pip you, Spurs will be there or there abouts, but after that theres the likes of Villa and Everton, neither of whom are too convincing, and then a load of shite (yes, including sunderland!). I can understand a bit of pessimism creeping in, but talk of arsenal being bad enough to get relegated is crazy

4th place is long gone, we can forget about that.

I don't think we'll even finish top half - the squad is weak in the extreme and injuries to RVP, Wilshere & Vermalaen will strip us of the remaining quality that we have (they should all be off next summer anyway). God help us if Chesney gets injured and we have one of the clowns back in goal. The lot that remain....I wouldn't back any one of them to dig deep to pull out results when needed.

This... our players have been in the comfort zone for far too long to roll their sleeves up, they're just not built that way!!!
