Also have heard the Midfielder we are in for is Goetze of Borussia Dortmund.

I think it's as SWL said - we've made an offer/enquiry, but Dortmund are after 35 million euros. Worth every penny IMO, going to be world class.AFCWozza wrote:Thats more like it.. 2 real QUALITY players.. reports are that we had a 35m euro bid rejected ?frankbutcher wrote:We're apparently in for a Brazilian Left-Back from Fenerbahce.

He'll fit in perfect to our set-up

Apparently Dortmund want 35m euros for Gotze. He is good enough believe me. Will be the next Fabregas but Dortmund DNA won't mean that much hopefully
Dont be too short on that.......gotze is a local lad and still lives with his family whilst playing for his hometown club. Tbh I know sweet fcuk all about the guy except that he is rated by many as one of the top young players in europe at the mo so if that is correct then I would be hugely impressed with signing him for starters.
If I am honest though I am sceptical about signing this guy - 35m is a hell of a lot for our club to spend in one go but the player has consistantly said he wants to remain in dortmund so even if we did agree a fee I a doubt we could persuade the guy to leave him to join us especially in our current predictment

Funny you should say that, he managed to oust Carlos from the Fenerbache side.nexum5me wrote:hopefully he'll be the next roberto carlos and not the next pascal cygan (specifically filling in at left back against man utd at highbury, when we lost)
it's got to the stage where i just don't believe we're gonna sign anyone at all though.

andre santos??? you gotta be fucking kiddin' meCaptain Fabregas wrote:glad we've got a left back now tbh if this is true and if he is international quality can't be that bad, would like to hear braziliangooner thinks of him.

he's a fucking avenue, can provide good crosses and even score the odd goal (a la sylvinho), but his defensive game is shambolic. he's the type of left back that players like ashley young and luis suarez will love to play against
