As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Sneijder will have his pick of top European clubs, therefore he would not come to arsenal.
Benayoun, Santos, Phillips, Alex, Chu-Young none of these names excite me, in fact they remind me of GG signing poor quality players like Kiwomya, Helder etc at the end of his reign.

Having seen Benayoun, Phillips and Alex play, I think they are a marked improvement on Kiwomya & Helder, who I also saw play. Memory is that the latter had one good game - his debut v Forest.
And Santos & Chu-Young are established Internationals in very good Brazil and South Korean teams, so no reason to think they are bad buys.
My worry about Sneijder is that to spend that much on one player smacks of putting all your eggs in one basket. Other than that though I still think that we are, contrary to how the Board behave, a top European club.....!

The same type of signings as well. GG didn't want to sign but appeared to bow down to fan pressure and bought all of the above....along with Hartson.
Football transfer rumours: Wesley Sneijder to Arsenal?
After the seasonal coolness of a late-August bank holiday, things are really hotting up in the transfer market. With the window due to close tomorrow evening, temperatures have reached an almost unbearable tepid. Look at this little lot!
Arsenal are in the market for a new left-back, new right-back, two central defenders, four midfielders, two strikers, a false nine, a trequartista, a winger, a sweeper, a janitor and a tea lady. Nobody said manager, you'll note: they've already got one of those, and what a job he's doing too, they're very happy with him. And he's about to spend a whopping £6.2m on Fenerbahce's Brazilian left-back Andre dos Santos. Arsène Wenger also wants Internazionale's Wesley Sneijder and Chelsea duo Florent Malouda and Yossi Benayoun, not that he's scrabbling around in a blind panic or anything.
