Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If there we're signing per we'll have to change tactics as he's slow

I have always suspected that the reason why our defence plays such a high line is that wenger knows that should we play deep we do not have the defenders to deal with high balls into our penalty area. The plan therefore is to fill the defence with pace and play a high line safe in the (misguided) belief that our defenders will then have the speed to get back to any passes played behind our back 4. For me play a deep line, leave no space in behind(much like opposition teams do/did against us), and encourage opposition teams to cross high balls into our area where mertesacker or whoever can deal with them alongside tv5 8)
Of course all the above suggests tactics way above the level of aptitude of our senile old manager

Lansbury to leave?

Seems to me that he would have been sold by now if not for the injury to Henderson.

First time in ages I've been excited about our transfers, shame it took 6 months of shit, cesc + nasri leaving and a thrashing by united for it to kick in

All smacks of last minute panic buying - like in the final days of George Graham with Kiwomya and Hartson. What a sorry sight.

Has the big headed clown finally found a club?
Stoke according to Arseblog on twitter. Personally I would sooner have got rid of the Moroccan who comes from not far from Iraq.

It's good to be watching skysports news near the transfer deadline and Arsenal actually involved in some activity, this is rare and I'm going to make the most of this!
