Has Manu copied from Arsenal's invincible team ?

Has Manu copied from Arsenal's invincible team ?

Post by Spiral »

The way the current four of Nani, Rooney, Welbeck and Young went about the game on Sunday was very reminiscent of another team’s attacking quadrumvirate. That is, ironically, the great Arsenal side of 2001-05.

A successful formula still relevant in a league that has barely changed since it was last utilized? Madness!

I guess Arsene's prophecy of the era of small, technically gifted players never really turned out. At least not in England. I think our teams would have been a lot better in Spain though, where the refs call EVERYTHING.
