As far as I'm concerned, getting Benayoun in and releasing a disinterested Cesc and Nasri is a massive upgrade.
It will also be a huge coup managing to snag one of Chelsea's most key players. Villas-Boas must be gutted to be losing him, much as Fergie was gutted when ManYoo lost Silvestre to us!!!

One of Chelsea's key figures?

He hardly played last season and they have given his squad number to Mata!

Wouldn't seem very fucking key to me!

Mertesacker and A. Santos done. Awaiting Pravda.com confirmation.

Great signings imo. A left back who can actually attack and a big CB who will finally add some much needed steel.

Please tell me that isnt true

This ^^^^

Yossi would be an indicator that wenger's gameplan of populating the team with lightweight fragile midgets that look zippy in possession but actually contribute fcuk all, is still firmly Plan A  An absolute shit scouse team 2 and 3 years ago still wasnt crap enough to have this guy as a regular starter, now he is being bombed out by the chavs but yet he is meant to be good enough for a club like us that are still seriously in need of top quality players ?? :?

Do me a fcuking favour

Doesn't take much to be an Arsenal legend these days does it? You don't even have to play for the club apparently...
Him and that dodgy Chef gave me a whole summer of laughs.

Tbh I'm suprised Chelsea aren't keeping hold of him, I think Torres would have greatly benefited from Benayoun. They played very well together at Liverpool. Not sure how someone said they were 'shit'.

I think he might be off to Spurs though, last minue Modric sweetner perhaps?

Redknapp cracks me up on deadline day. Christmas has come early! Drives in and out of the training ground just so he can answer all the questions they throw at him.

Harry any news on Peter Crouch? Harry what do you make of the current situation in Libya? Harry why does your face look like a fry up on a tilted plate?

Such a prick!

Bad news on Hazard everyone:

OliverKayTimes: Interesting RT @mattspiro: French paper La Voix du Nord say Lille will give LFC first refusal on Hazard in 2012 as part of Joe Cole loan

Guess we've pissed them off!

Surely we need a creative player to replace those we lost? Our top 4 place relied on creating lots of chances and we need to replace that.

I like Yossi, I think he's a neat creative player who links midfield and attack nicely. If it was him and a top class player of that ilk it would be an excellent signing that would give us a player experienced in playing for top clubs on the bench. If it's him on his own, he's patently not good enough to replace Cesc as the heartbeat of our attacking play (I think Nasri has been essentially replaced by Gervinho - he used to play in that position when Cesc was fit and simply replaced him in the middle when he was out).
