Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Matt Hughes The Times reckons we've a 10m bid in for Samba. Sounds like bollocks to me, nothing from recognised sources and supposedly Dann got a guarantee Samba wouldnt be sold when signing for Blackburn.

And Liverpool given first refusal on Hazard next window..
Pretty sure this has been denied.
I'd seen that but whether true or not what does "first refusal" actually mean.....? If anyone trumps a Liverpoool bid in January then surely Lille won't say no.....?

Unless there is actually a clause in his (Hazard's) contract to the affect that Liverpool can buy him for £xm then to me sounds like it's worthless.

In order to create balance after this week's signings, Arsene Wenger has just completed the signing of an unfertilised egg on a four year deal

Fulham deal for 'Bryan Ruiz' .. Dempsey on the move?
Where has all this shit about Dempsey come from? He's gash.
All over the interweb this morning..
Hope Dempsey is not the height of our ambition
Wilshire is the height of our ambition, Dempsey is going to be back up. Hate to be pessimistic but it's getting late to sign a really big name and get a medical put through in time.

I'll get me coat..

from the Telegraph

13.23 ALEX IN BERLIN UPDATE:

Getting first reports of a potential surprise move for Leverkusen playmaker Renato Augusto, who according to a source is on his way to London for a medical. No indications which team he’s going to, although a with a price tag of €15-20m, would discount Fulham/QPR. Can play on the right or through the middle, silky skills and great ball retention, would suit Arsenal’s style perfectly or perhaps a Modric alternative for Spurs/Chelsea? If I had to choose one it seems like a typical Wenger signing.
