Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

General consensus seems to be approx. £50m :banghead: We've not even spent all the Nasri money.

Out:

Clichy 7M
JET 1M
Eboue 3M
Cesc 25M
Nasri 23M
Traore 2M
Sunu - Free?
Denilson, J Campbell, Lansbury off wage bill.

In:

Jenkinson 1M
Gervinho 10.5M
Oxlade Chamberlain 8M up front rising to 15M
Campbell 2M
Park 4M
Santos 6M
Mertesacker 10M
(Benayoun 1M?)

Profit: 18.5M

Plus we had a nice £30 - 35M sitting in the bank waiting to be spent before the summer, plus another £22M as safety payment for stadium bond..

Something is not right.

According to Duncan Castles @ the Times the Arteta deal fell through on personal terms not the actual offer.

Would be very very surprised if that's true.

Personally, he thought Wenger was a deluded, mental, desperate, cheap-skate.

Don't believe that. He must be on peanuts at Everton so our offer would be a big pay rise. Everton just want more of our cash, end of.

you missed off Vela he's on loan as well, funny thing is the fans said Wenger need to bring in at least 6 or 7 players and he has, but apart from maybe 2 the rest of average or shit
