If I could sign any player in the world

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If I could sign any player in the world

Post by DanielD »

a nice clip at ATVO, in which our players said which player (present or past) will they sign for the arsenal. Most said Kaka, two said Zidane, cesc said eto'o and Alex Song, with the best pick, said DB10.

Who would you sign?

I think mr Arsenal will make a great signing for us.

Marodona or Pele because many claim there are the two best players ever, I'd like to see them in an Arsenal shirt and how good they really are. Anyway, Wenger wouldn't sign them if they were available for 20 million because he forgot the PIN to our bank account where all the transfer funds are

Think we had one of the all time greats anyhow in DB10 & would have him top of the shopping list everyttime - I honestly rate him up there with Maradona. if he were in a more successful international side he would have been recognised as one of the greatest of all time. Pity he wouldnt fly when he was probably at very best.

Apart from him, ZZ in his prime would have to be easy on the eye in an Arsenal shirt...

Can't comment on Pele but I was at a match in which Maradona played, at his peak (around 1985/6), and he was an absolute god. The hype was justified in his case.
