PICKING A TEAM FOR ARSELONA FC.

Am liking the question.

It'd be 4-3-3 for me (and 7 subs, as in Spain):

GK: Lehmann

Def: Puyol, Gallas, Clichy, Sagna

Mid: Yaya, Fabregas, Hleb

Fwd: Eto'o, Messi, Adebayor

Subs: Valdes, Deco, Marquez, Kolo, Sylvinho, Henry, Ronaldinho

Which I think makes 7 Gooners in the starting eleven but only 8 out of the 18 in the squad. And of the Barca players included, 2 are ex-Arse, one Wenger tried to sign but couldn't get a work permit (Ronaldinho) and two we could and should have signed when we had the chance (Eto'o and Yaya).

MY CRITERIA WAS ONLY 5 SUBS!!

ANYWAY, WHY WOULD YOU HAVE 3 DEFENDERS (MARQUEZ, SYLVINHO AND KOLO) ON THE BENCH?

Since you corrected someone else earlier on re the meaning of the word frivolous, I'll put you right: it should be MY CRITERION WAS ONLY 5 SUBS.

And re too many defenders on the bench, it must be the George Graham influence, I haven't shaken it yet. But if you're going to make me be all Anglo about this and only have 5 subs, I'd ditch Sylvinho and Marquez.

OH NO I DIDN'T!! THAT WAS SOMEONE ELSE. I JUST SUGGESTED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE A DICTIONARY NEAR HIM SO HE COULD CHECK OUT THE MEANING AND SPELLING OF WORDS.
