Alright mate - pull your neck in.

I'm talking about the skill and technical level in that league and it is pretty shite. What's so offensive about calling it what it is? Yeah, I'm sure those lads play for the love of the game and give everything, but that doesn't make it good football to watch...

of course the skill and technical levels are shit, but to say its shit football to watch is way off the mark, you see just as many shit games on sky .if you got off your armchair and watched an Irish club on a regular basis you would see that.
how can you call a league shit ?if you don't go and watch it, that's like me saying that games in the congo league are shit to watch
like you most Irish people are brain washed by the hype and glamour of the premier league and if they actually went and watched league of ireland football we could have a good little league in this country, rovers making the group stages is a prime example of what can be achieved
Hang the fuck on there tonto. Who the fuck are you to tell me what I know? Brainwashed? Give up the fucking idiotic overly proud paddy cliche - you sound like a brain dead sinn feinn reject. It's not the end of the fucking world because someone doesn't rate something Irish! I judge football on the quality of the games and the players - not hype and glamour.
Over the years I've been to alot of games and watched a few on TV too and the quality is mostly shit. I've seen similar games on a Sunday morning down the park.
To think more people turning up is going to improve the quality of a league is just fucking silly.
what has sinn fein or ireland got to do with anything???? you said the league was shit ,the fact you have said you went to a few games and thought it was shit must be bull shit or you were unlucky enough to pick a shit game every time you went
you say you watched games on telly well then you are talking out your arse as some of the games o nthe box this season have been excellent and highly entertaining.
as i said how can you call a league shit if you dont go and watch it?
It's called an "opinion". I have watched enough games over the years and in my OPINION it's a poor league. Maybe your idea of good football is alot lower than what I call good football.
You also remind me of a lot of the Paddies I met when I lived in London. Just couldn't find fault with anything Irish. Would take offence at the drop of a hat if someone expressed a different opinion.
I think your problem is you can't find fault with something you happen to love for whatever reason. I bet you cannot find fault with Wenger or Arsenal in general either.
what games/team did you watch?
why do you keep bringing ireland up?????????? this has nothing to do with ireland????
my argument is that you call a league shit but dont go and watch it

we could be talking about the league in morocco here ,why you keep bringing up ireland?
i havent gone to see cowboys and aliens yet but i cant call it good or shit unless i went and watched it
i do find many a fuckin fault with arsenal and wenger and have stopped attending home games and just do away games now, never did bother with merchandise so not giving them greedy c**ts any of my cash is me doing my bit
back on topic just admit you have no interest as its not glamourous,no hype around the league, and standing on empty3rd world football terraces is not your thing and thats why ya dont go
Nope, sorry - bored with this now. We are going round in circles here.
One. Last. Time.
It is a shit league. That is my opinion. Based on what I have seen. MY ARGUMENT is you are overly sensitive BECAUSE it is Irish and, like alot of Irish people, the old blinkers come on whenever anyone mentions anything negative about the place.
FYI; I've been to Shels, Bohs, Rovers, Drogs and Dundalk over the last 20 years. And watched a good few over the years on TV. Admittedly not every game of every season but enough games to call the standard poor. I've NEVER seen a game in all that time where I thought "Fucking hell, that was quality football!" Never once. Seen a few where one or two players played well, but nothing more.
I've also been to numerous lower league games to watch the likes of Cherry Orchard and Glebe North over the years and the standard there is pretty poor too. It's a small country, the best players go abroard.
The "glamour" jibe is the last resort of someone who knows they've lost the argument, a piss poor attempt to insult my intelligence. The Spanish league is a glamour league, but I think it is shite because of the excessive diving and lack of REAL quality outside of the Whores and Madrid. There are numpties that LOVE that league but I've watched alot of its games and in my opinion it's rubbish.
As I said, I'm done with this now, as it is just getting repetative. If you want to have the last word then work away but I won't be replying.
Well I think it's great

Seriously leaving the quality aside, LOI games can be every bit as entertaining as most of what you see in the prem lge.
And I think it is hard to dispute the fact of how much the standard has improved in the last 5 or 6 years, with LOI sides regularly knocking on the door of the European group stages, where as before 8-2 hammerings were a regular occurence.
I honestly think that any of the top 3 LOI teams would qualify for europe if they were playing in the SPL, granted that maybe down to a combination of improvement here and the opposite in the SPL.
