That's about right. We've had a few problems this season with Manyoo and Liverplop fans in the home areas. But for most fans, if there is an away fan in the home section and they stick to "the rules" (ie keep quiet!) they leave them be. It's when the Chavs at the back of the Upper Holte find you that it becomes a problem.SPUDMASHER wrote:I was at Villa this year and sat among the home fans (never again, it's too hard). I 've got to say that they were a decent bunch. They sussed me pretty quickly but didn't say anything other than "don't be too obvious or the stewards will kick you out".

I don't know what was worse. the struggle to keep quiet in the ground or the long walk back to the car surrounded by pissed off fans (We parked at th Uni). When we got to the car it was like the scene in only fools and horses when Del and Rodney leave the Auction after selling the watch for £6.3m. Feckin hilarious

You won't be saying that Saturday after you hear our fans constantly singing "Have you won the European Cup!" (Unfortunately we sing it to everyone who hasn't!)burns718 wrote:villa are ok by my rekoning, there a reasonably big club yet unlike the dickheads down the road they dont feel the need to make out that there some sort of footballing giants
Mellberg is a legend in the majority of Villa fans eyes. 7 years of fantastic service and it will be very sad to see him go. He deserves his final big pay day and guaranteed CL football.tonysaunders wrote:Fuck it - the more the merrier. Bit of diversity never hurt anyone. Dare I say it, I wouldn't even mind a couple of resident Spuds on here strictly for a bit of (good humoured) banter.
Welcome aboard, mate. Shame about Mellberg leaving. He's a quality player - and in my fantasy team!

Re: Don't Shoot Me!
Football fans looking for healthy discussions or debates and also for a bit of banter are always welcome irrespective of the team they support. So welcome onboard.5.McGrath wrote:As some of you may have guessed from my log on name I'm not an Arsenal fan. I am actually a season ticket holder at Aston Villa. The main reason for me joining this forum is not to come on and cause trouble but to see what is going on in the world of other clubs and their fans. As a regular poster on a Villa Forum we have a few members who are not Villa fans so thought I'd do the same and as such am joining a few fansites for other teams. Hope you all don't hold that against me, and I'll try and be as unbiased as possible. (If it is against the forum policy for other fans to post on here then please let me know and I'll leave quietly!)
Its the idiots who cant make half a sensible post and posts absolute rubbish that well arnt welcome, but still we have one or two of those here lol. We are very accepting people
