Bendtner says he's never coming back.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Good riddance. Final straw for me was when the plank missed about 50 chances against Huddersfield in the cup and then when he finally shinned one in cupped his ears to the travelling fans. Class Nic, real class.

Bendtner, 23, said: "I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again.

"After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team.

"That is over 1½ years with no real chance to prove myself.

"I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer.

"I will find a new club — but I will not go back to Arsenal, that's for sure."
Hoo, shush man Nicklas, dinnit tell them that yet or they'll basement my Nicklas Bendtner progress thread

From my point of view Barry never really delivered for us on a consistent basis, but it also did not help that our genius of a manager played him out wide.

I am not losing sleep that he has effectively gone, but a little bit of me still feels that there was something there and maybe another manager will get more out of him with a bit of discipline and a kick up the arse.

It could be that the complacency and mediocrity of the Colney Creche, has gone a long way to spoiling him, inadvertantly doing him more harm than good (apart from his bank balance).

Is it not possible that the many talented youngsters we had were ruined by the creche and that had they been at, say, Man Utd they would now being pulling up trees. Not such a mad thought is it.

To be honest i like Super nick, even though he isnt really world class and to be honest he is very lucky playing for Arsenal, but i did like him, he did get a chance but when you miss more than you score you got to expect to not be number 1, having said that he done alright and i dont think theres any reason to be nasty to him now, i think just cos someone leaves you dont have to slag them off, he done a good job and at least he stayed fit when every other is injured at the slightest knock, basicly Nick's alright and he's banging the princess of denmark or some bird like that so that alone deservres respect...
