Are You happy with Transfer Dealings?

We have to admit to ourselves that we are not one of the top tier clubs anymore. A lot players who aren't good enough for top tier clubs' first teams are good enough for us. And Chelsea are a club who can afford to have Torres, Drogba, Anelka and Lukaku as their striking options. Not forgetting Sturridge and Kalou too. All of these are good enough for our squad, and half of them for our first team.

And on Benayoun in particular. He was a squad player in Chelsea, and that's what I presume he will be with us. He is not really a reject so no problem. But this does show what Chelsea think of us. They clearly think we are no challenge so they don't care about strengthening our squad.

This. All day long.

I can't take people seriously who who arrogantly dismiss Benayoun before even kicking a ball for us. People taking negativity to a new level.

Benayoun is the Israeli captain and wants more first team chances. We needed a creative midfielder within our wage budget - we got exactly that.

And so what if he put in a transfer request? Heinze did and Fergie forced him to stay and sold him to another club. Modric made public his desire to leave and is being forced to stay so they don't sell him. I see no bloody difference

If you honestly telling me that you cannot see the difference between a big club like Chelsea who have won lots of things, loaning out a player to a smaller non-threatening Arsenal....

And a smaller club like Liverpool losing a first team plaer for a big enough fee to a bigger club, then there is no more to discuss.

Some people out there make me laugh harder than when I'm watching Harry Redknapp having a twitching fit when S*urs are losing.

Look, don't get me wrong, it would have been better if Wenger had had a settled squad a few weeks ago but it didn't happen.

However, he was rectified that now with some very good signings so how this is panic-buying I will never know.

If that 'diamond geezer' Harry Redknapp had done the same deals as Wenger the media would be absolutely creaming their knickers.

Imagine the breaking news banner at the bottom of the TV screen. It would have gone into meltdown faster than Usain Bolt having a sprint on the sun.

This competition alone is a breath of fresh air, the ability for Wenger to change formations is a breath of fresh air, and equally important the clearing out of players like Samir Nasri is a massive breath of fresh air. I don’t know why Arsene wanted to hold on to Nasri so badly. He’s a player who so clearly does not respect anything about Arsenal. An odious little man who has decided to make all of his grievances with Arsenal public so that he can shift the focus away from the fact that he played Man U, Arsenal, Man City, and PSG against each other in order to win the weekly salary jackpot. I can’t say this any clearer; fuck you Samir Nasri.

And finally, a word about the constant stream of apoplectic negativity over all of Arsenal’s Summer dealings. It’s actually hard to take. Almost as difficult as the constant stream of people telling, no demanding, that I and others support Arsenal in the manner that they have decided is the only way to be a “true supporter.â€

We have a new stonking great CB who I am absolutly creaming myself to see playing alongside TV5.

Didnt I read arteta played 29 games last year season for everton. I think Yossi was really unlucky with 1 bad injury last year. they are still both undoubted quality.

Look im not trying to be some sort of blinkered rose tinter or anything, and trying to be an apologist for all the wrong wenger has done (which their been plenty), but all im saying is the club hit rock bottom last sunday with the 8-2 defeat and the season could have had a really grim outlook for all concerned after that if we hadn't made any signings.

But he did, and we must surely be on the upwards curve now.

So even though they were done in the last 48 hours, the fact remains we brought in 5 new players which in my opinion dramatically changes the complextion of the team. For fucks sake they havent even played a game together yet and some of you lot are whining like bitches that its still all doom and gloom.

If they all turn out to be wrong uns then lets lynch em in january, but for now Just let this new team get on with it, and lets support them as we go.

To be fair Sid, there aren't that many world class players available. Who is out there that we could have bought? Don't get me wrong I know we could have gone and bid £70m for Benzema but this isn't football manager, be realistic.

And even if Real Madrid did accept, there's no saying Benzema would have come to Arsenal.

Also, various sources said we did bid big for Hazard but Lille are unwilling to sell at the moment. They suggest Arsenal will be back for him in January, in which case it makes sense not to just blow the whole budget on someone else just for the sake of it.
