Have you ever played on a Professional Football Club pitch?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Have you ever played on a Professional Football Club pitch?

Not strictly Arsenal related, but interested to know if people have managed to play on a proper Club pitch.

I've played charity tournaments at both Stamford Bridge and Upton Park. At Stamford Bridge, Frank Lampard watched us win the final as it was the Chelsea Player of the Year Awards that day. To see all the players cars in the car park was mind boggling!

Played at Ashburton Grove, next best ground I have played on after that was Rockingham Road (Kettering Town)

Always regretted not playing at Highbury.

I've played at Upton Park in a youth tournament about 4 years ago. Good laugh, nice pitch. Felt a bit odd empty though.

Played in that charity thing at the Grove last year, was unbelievable. Like carpet. Highlight of the day was going into the away changing rooms....

On the subject of the players cars, I go into Colney training ground quite a lot, unfuckingbelievable.

It was a funny day. There were also loads of celebs around from the tournament played earlier in the day....We saw Tamer Hassan (Actor from The Business and Football Factory) get sent off for trying to chin some player who'd had the audacity to tackle him and win the ball. The Chelsea stewards had to escort him from the stadium because he was trying to fight the ref...

Later on in the Pub, we pointed out Dean Windass, saying how he was still a quality player. He then offered my mate out for a fight because we were looking at him. Peter Beagrie and Jermaine Beckford, who were sat next to him, looked on bemused.... I went for a slash before the Tube ride home and Ken Monkou and Jason Cundy were next to me at the urinals....

Bonkers!

I played at the National Hockey Stadium (now sadly demolished), which was where the mighty MK Dons played before they moved to Stadium MK.

I was playing for Finance (lots of old boys) against Marketing (lots of whipper snappers) in an inter-departmental match......and we won 5-1......! Loved it!

Saw Barnet play MK Dons there. Barnet went down to 9 men after 30 minutes, and finished with 8. I think they were trying to play hockey rules.
