Have you ever played on a Professional Football Club pitch?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I played at Highbury (one of life's highlights) and also at the new place. Scored at both!

It was a stewards tournament held at Liverpool the day befor the old Kop was demolished. Roy Evans was the manager and we lost in the semi final to Norwich City. The goal i scored was against Manchester City.

I have also with the stewards played at Highbury numerous times and have the pleasure of scoring in both goals.

Other grounds I have played are Loftus Road (QPR), Adams Park (Wycombe), Elm Park (Old Reading), Carrow Road (Norwich), Elland Road (Leeds Utd), Burnden Park (Bolton old) and Meadow Lane (Notts County).

In 1990 i played at Stamford Bridge for Maidenhead Utd in the FA Youth Cup in a game we lost 1-5.
Matt from what you write I get the sense back in the day you were a useful player? Did you play for anyone us lot would have heard of?
As a youth i was decent and then i joined the RM at 18 so it ended any proper career (trials with West Ham). I played for Middlesex U-19 at 16 and even captained them for a season. Career wise as i say was cut short by joining up but it was cool by me. PLayed for Maidenhead and plodded with the Arsenal Stewards team which is still representing the red and white.

I gave up playing at 24 and coached for a while...

Played a few county cup finals as a kid at Fulham (twice) & Brentford.

Great experience at the time, but I'm sure the football must have been diabolical for anyone watching a bunch of kids trying to play on a full size pitch. Half the corners barely made it to the near post. Pretty much like watching Arsenal.

Arsenal (2) 3 - 0 (0)

Highbury. Sunday 4th October 1998. Kick-off 3pm

FA Carling Premiership

scorers: Bergkamp 2 (1 pen) Anelka

Arsenal:
Seaman
Dixon Adams Keown (Bould) Winterburn
Ljungberg (Mendez) Vieira Petit (Hughes) Overmars
Bergkamp Anelka

I played the final of the Arsenal Soccer Schools tournament before this game at Highbury.

As you could imagine as a 12 year old at the time I was absolutely buzzing + crapping myself. I remember Shearer and a few of the Newcastle players actually came out to watch us a bit too. We had beaten a team earlier in the competition that included Teddy Sheringhams son, that was a touche haha.

We lost the final 3-1

Good times!
