Barca taking the piss. Again.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I dislike that club so much its untrue but they worked well on Fabs price to get him. We didnt have to sell him at all but hey, life goes on.
Shit ground, shit fans, massive debt hope they go bust ...

Cesc wouldn't go to Man City or any other club though. That's the whole problem. He was holding out for a move to Barcelona and we didn't want to keep a player who probably would have been half-hearted had he stayed.
I think AW should take the brunt of this shit. If ladyboy Ronaldo went for 80m, I think Cesc would have been 80m too. I understand the fact that he only wanted to only join Barca, but so what? Didn't ladyboy do the same thing? Wasn't Real his dream club? I have great respect for Cesc, becaues he carried our team for the last few years, so I can understand the crunts knowing what they got and gloating about it.

PS: I still hate their club but would rather have them winning than Chelski or Manure

Time to move on. We got shafted on the price, everyone already knew it anyway. Barca just did what was best for them, as they should. The way the whole saga played out on our end was pretty pathetic, wishful thinking but hopefully this prick boasting about it just keeps that fresh in the memory a bit longer so lessons might actually be learnt from it.

I think this is one instance where you can't pin it on Wenger, he agrees to sell or buy a player, its Gazidis job to take care of the rest, he is responsible and Kroenke will be for over seeing it.

Barcelona did what they did to drive the price down, all clubs do it including this one, if we just won the league and CL many times then I'm sure Cahill would have forced Bolton to accept the lower offer we submitted for example.

The only problem with the Cesc transfer was we didnt sell him 3 months earlier and spend the whole £35m on his replacement.

I dont especially blame wenger on this except that I do 100% believe that he pandered to cesc's wishes and told ivan to negotiate only with barca and that greatly hindered our ability to negotiate. You would think that our negotiating team ( ) had no real loyalty to cesc and would and should be willing to get the highest deal for the club so why not publicly auction him ? As much as I still love cesc I really couldnt give a rats arse which club he wanted to go to cos for me the interests of our club are far more important than that of cesc

who gives a fuck. cesc wanted to go and we got 35mill. either take the money or have a player who didnt want to be here and would keep picking up injuries cos his mind was elsewhere,
as arsenal fans we can hardly complain as our club have been buying players by knocking down prices all the time, its football. get over it :banghead:

Hate to say it but Levy would have got 60.
I agree the scumcunts 'stole' him from us - Dem RAZCLAD BATTY BOY TINGS YANNO - but, they were the only club (realistically) in for him as every other club also knew he wouldn't sign for anyone else - so as such our negotiating hands were tied - I think AW did well to rebuff their attempts to steal him for as long as he did - he (foolishly) thought the board would back him and his decision to keep him - but of course the board started putting even more pressure on him so he was getting it from both sides...Oooerrr misssus  - barcawhores knew that and just played the waiting game....to the point where had Fabregas not forgone £5mill in loyalty bonus payments - they would have waited another season - But fabregas being ever soooo desparate to get away did their bidding (pun intendind) for them... They are utterly classless and deserve to go into administration. - now wouldn't THAT be something to sit back and sip a cold one too! :D

Yup! agree Augie that's what we Should have done - barcawhores would have thought twice about holding us to ransom the classlessscumcunts....who knows maybe that russian team who are paying ridiculous wages - even by today's standards - might have come in ! His real value (in todays financially lead football world) is around £55 - £65 mill

Still you never know what's around the corner - some of the challenges put in on him the last few weeks - have been leg breakers - no I don't wish that on the lad...But if it continues the odds are shortening every week....the fouls have been really BAD!

Barca bent Arsenal over and screwed us because they don't see Arsenal as a big club. They see Arsenal as a tiny club ripe for bullying, and on the evidence of the Cesc transfer then this is correct. I laugh when I keep hearing excuses about 'one club auctions'. Ronaldo only wanted to move to Real, no other club was in the running but Fergie still managed to bleed Real for £80 mil. Now I'm not suggesting Cesc is worth as much (though he is as good as Ronaldo for my money)...Ronaldo was the reigning world and European player of the year, Cesc has never won such an accolade. Ronaldo has won everything at club level, Cesc has won nothing yet (not his fault, playing in a crap team).
HOWEVER. Fabregas was sold for an Andy Carroll and I'm sorry the bare minimum he should have been soldm for was £50 mil. Therefore it makes me laugh to hear jokers go on about how 'Arsene doesn't have the funds to compete' when he continues to give players away like penny sweets.
I have to admit though that Gazidis is the one I am looking at more than anything on this. Guy is a fucking epic CLOWN.

That was Real Madrid. Madrid are known to pay big money for players. They actually seem to revel in it. Barcelona are a dirty bunch of wankers.
