We've been made a mug of again
This thread maybe locked, but I just want to make a point here. I and most of our support on here and the rest, while not happy at the way things went in the last week of the window, where prepared to try and get positive energy behind our new players and actually praise the signings of several new players.
Well now as it turned out, predictably so, we have mugged of once more by club/manager/board.
We now know that:
1 - Arteta was signed only because Wilshere is injured, for fuck knows how long. The new year is the estimate I read. Best player gone.
2. Mertesacker was signed, because Vermaelen was crocked once again. Best defender gone.
Lets not kid ourselves, whilst with our two best players available the team looked on paper to be fit to challenge for 4th and ultimately finish 5th or 6th.
I think its safe to say that with these two guys out for a big part of the season, we are in serious trouble.
We can look forward to shit like Djourou, Diaby, Rosicky Song and Koscielny playing every week. Van Persie will probably not last long now and then we will proabably be treated to Chamakh as our striker.
We are in serious trouble.
I foresee 4 wins and 2 defeats to Dortmund and Blackburn in September. And possibly Bolton if we arent careful.
I think we may lose every game in October, barring the CC 4th round depending if we win and who we get.

There you go then. Le *word censored* has fucked us again as Irish Gooner pointed out.
The thing is, I actually wanted AW to bring in no one. He'd have been chased out of North London and Arsenal would have finished as low as 15th. Signing those players has merely delayed the inevitable - I want the wanker gone NOW. Irish Goon is right. Imagine - no Verm, no Wilshere.
Once Arteta's knee goes 'pop' then it will be a regular midfield of Song-Diaby.
Two dopey brainless tossers who couldn't tackle a plate of trifle, couldn't pass wind. Don't be fooled into thinking TV5 will be back in 2 months - he is out for the season. When will ppl learn to never trust that lying tosser Wenger? Remember what he said about Verm last year?
So just to recap: Wilshere out for the next 4 months I assume.
TV5 won't be back for at least 6 months.
That means until Xmas, Koscielny and Djourou will be regular wasters. Diaby will get plenty of games in between sucking Arsene's cock in the dressing room. Song eurgh....RVP gets crocked soon and this will be the Arsenal line up:
Song, Diaby, Rosicky, Chamakh, Walcott, Choo Young.
That is a fucking Championship side. I'd rate the current Leicsester team or even Allardyce's West Ham midfield to do a number on that pile of shite.
You've been bent over by Wenger again....problem for him is though, I don't think he is going to last beyond Xmas. No chance cannot see it. Not with that pile of shite team. This ain't bad luck it is disgusting MISMANAGEMENT.
WENGER OUT.

Perhaps it's a vanity thing, but Irish, you seem to be confusing your opinion with fact.Irish Gooner wrote: We now know that:

I think the problem with some on here is that they try far too hard to discredit the manager (of course, there's also plenty who try too hard to praise him, and both camps look silly to me - what's wrong with rational thought??

I'm afraid Irish, we don't KNOW Wenger signed Arteta ONLY because Wilshere was injured. We just don't know that. We'd sold Cesc and Nasri, and I honestly think there's a good chance that Wenger was always going to bring in a midfielder... he had to! if anything, I'd have thought the last minute loan of Benayoun (without a medical apparently) was much more likely to be a last ditch attempt to bring someone in for Wilshere - but again, we don't KNOW that either; we can only speculate.
As for Mertesacker.... how do you KNOW he was only signed because Vermaelen was injured? Wenger and Gazidis have talked about bringing in a defender even BEFORE Vermaelen's injury, so how can you be so sure?? You can't. You have an opinion... that's all. And that's great, share it... but it doesn't make it fact, I'm afraid.

You are correct we can only speculate, and that is what I have done come to my own conclusions.g88ner wrote:Perhaps it's a vanity thing, but Irish, you seem to be confusing your opinion with fact.Irish Gooner wrote: We now know that:

But would we be surprised by anything I have said? I'm sorry but the timing of these signings and injuries lead me to believe we have been led astray by the club once again.
There is no transparency at this club. We never know whos doing what, why nobody is ever held account for numerous massive mistakes. This leads to the fans coming to their own conclusions which can be even worse.
There has been no comment by Arsene Wenger on the signings of Benayoun and Arteta. None whatsoever. This is a man who would praise the signings of youth players on arsenal.com. But when these two came in, he had no comment.
We know Wenger was in Switzerland when they were signed. Arteta was given a 4 year contract, which just isnt an Arsene Wenger deal. Myles Palmer thinks these two transfers in particular were Gazidis/Kroenke signings which Wenger gave the green light to, because he had to.

Definately agree with your first paragraph, aboveIrish Gooner wrote:There is no transparency at this club. We never know whos doing what, why nobody is ever held account for numerous massive mistakes. This leads to the fans coming to their own conclusions which can be even worse.

And the rest is an interesting theory, that might just have an element of truth to it.
