Well, It looks like my willy will remain tucked up nice and warm.

BBC Reports

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will hand under-fire manager Avram Grant a £100m transfer kitty for next season.

However, more alarmingly.

Arsenal fear key midfielder Mathieu Flamini has agreed to join Juventus. Flamini is out of contract at the end of the season.

Isn't this technically an illegal approach

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has asked striker Louis Saha to try to persuade £30m Lyon target Karim Benzema to join the Old Trafford club.

Why had the Arsenal board even let the matter come this far.Flamini holds all the cards now.If Arsenal dont meet his demands he will go.Which is madness as he has been brilliant this season. We dont buy anyone now we are struggling to keep the players we have.

I think he will stay. He was going to leave in the summer but he decided he was going to stay and fight for his place. He has since won his place, and kept it, being one of our best players of the season and and an integral part of the first team. I don't see why he'd stay and fight for a place, to then move on once he has his place. He seems very dedicated to Arsenal and loves the club, so I'm confident he won't move on this year.

I'm guessing money & success. He has stayed thus far after not receiving any decent offers last summer and now has placed himself on the wanted list of a few big clubs due to his form for us. That form and the fact that he will be on a bosman will increase his bargaining power when it comes to contract negotiations big time. He may also be waiting to see signs that the club are going to press forward - maybe I am off beat here but I am thinking that players like cesc, flamini, gallas etc know that as a team they will do their best to bring the club success but they need to know, through signings when needed, that the club want success as much as they do and are willing to do the necessary. By the way flamini can be approached anytime after jan 1st last by any team outside england but teams in england can only approach when the season ends. It's also funny that I seem to recall fans being confident that pires would sign a 1 year deal and stay a few seasons ago too

I am starting to have doubts about Flamini. Negotiations have been dragged for a long time now, the wage demands seems to be the problem. We need Flamini to stay because we’ll need to spend in order to replace him if he leaves, and we know Wenger doesn’t spend. Reminds me of Edu's contract negotiations

I'll be gutted if Flamini leaves for a number of reasons, though the main one is...there will only be Gallas left to clap us travelling fans at the end of away matches!!
