Possible Virus (no not a bet on who'll open this)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We;re on Norton Corporate Rob and it wasn't visiting an external link it was simply opening the forum up from the main gooner webpage. Only happened the once, didn't install a virus but the scanner caught and deleted something that was trying to go into temp files

i know that rob has put some new security measures to prevent nonsense in the last few days (not that there weren't before, but i guess once you have been hacked then you got to change the way the intruders got in)

anyway, i've emailed him, although i do know he's not working full time for the next couple of weeks, so we may not get an immediate response.

Just because I am sunning myself in Mexico for the next two weeks does not mean that I've deserted you all and the forum.

Can anyone give me any further info on the that has been reported on the forum (not the main page).

Did it occur when opening a link for example, was in on the forum home page on in a particular posting.

Please let me know, back to my cocktail and the beach I'm afraid....

Rob.

Whoops, spoke too soon!! :x

When I logged in again this evening I was met with the same thing as earlier (win.exe.) and then four or five other threats which I had to send to the Virus Vault. It's the same thing that happened a few days earlier when the virus's came under the name nax.exe. :(

What the hell is going on? My computer isn't that well protected but it doesn't seem to have any problems with the forum. Saying that, my laptop did get ruined a couple of weeks ago. Any chance it is the forum's fault?
