Bendtner; The Leg-end
sometimes I aint got time for poor old steve bruce, but his players love dicking on him.
Zaki, came had success then couldn't be bothered, poor old bruce looked so sad.
Bent came and scored, then decided, im out gaffer.
Now Gyan, decides he is going for early retirement.
You got no luck man. I do like steve, pleasant chap, but he went on a wenger like run of blaming everyone else for his teams screwups.

What does he get out of this move? Quality player, fucking clown of a man. Your strikeforce was looking good as well, then he had to do this. c**t.

No, they're not.
Seriously, are you ok?

Well, a new day has dawned and I have managed to get a couple of photos of Nicklas Bendtner from before kick off and a video which clearly shows him walking around doing nothing waiting for the match to start. As for his performance well, as mentioned yesterday, what a player the lad looks. Won his fair share in the air, looked to get the ball to feet and keep attacks moving, took up good positions, and obviously his assist was class. He definitely meant it by the way, even the commentator on ESPN Goals said it was a lovely touch. He did miss a header that he should maybe have done better with, but none the less a very good debut and here's hoping he can really make the difference against Stoke. Regarding their second goal, yes, Bendtner lost the ball in the build up to it but he was having to run into the channels to get any sort of service from midfield at the time and, typically, our one paced bunch of midfielders didnt get near him, leaving him with very little chance of retaining possession.
Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here are a couple of photos of Nicklas that I took from me lovely new seat near the halfway line
Nicklas looking focussed before kick off

Here you can see Nicklas tying his shoelaces on his lovely, unpink, boots

And here's a video from pre match where you can see Bendtner walking about a bit near to the centre circle

The updates just keep on coming in this, most informative of threads!!!

Well, following that piece of shit Gyan's acrimonious departure, Bendtner has been winning people over by actually showing some confidence and being prepared to take responsibility:
[quote]NICKLAS BENDTNER insists he is ready to take on the scoring mantle after Asamoah Gyan’s shock Sunderland departure.
The Black Cats were left in a state of disbelief after Gyan’s representatives negotiated a mega-money loan move to United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain on Friday afternoon, effectively forcing them to sanction the sale of their record signing and main goal-scoring threat a week after the transfer deadline passed.
To make matters worse struggling Sunderland are still searching for a first win of the season after a Stadium of Light defeat against Chelsea on Saturday.
If there is a pall of gloom on Wearside, confident character Bendtner insists he is the man to lift it – as he prepares for a “massive seasonâ€

I watched the replay a couple times and have concluded that this is accurate.bunch wrote:There is no way he meant that. He was trying to bring it down to have a pop himself (Bendy never knowingly passes inside the box) but his touch let him down, as usual.
He's holding his hands out like "Give me the ball back" before the goal goes in, too.
Nah, the ball came to him, he knew he couldnt take it down because of the proximity of the defender, so he pushed it on to Ji. Thats why as soon as he touched it he looked at Ji- had he not meant it he would have looked frustrated and probably taken a second to realise that the ball wasnt doing what he wanted it to. IMO it was a beautiful assist and a quality touch. Either way, he lined up a goal so thats fine by meBarriecuda wrote:I watched the replay a couple times and have concluded that this is accurate.bunch wrote:There is no way he meant that. So far I'd say he's backed up his words like, but its early days. He hasnt been telling us how great he is, just that he thinks he can do a good job for us with a run of games up front. He's also said he's happy to take responsibility and thinks we've got a decent side. Following an impressive debut capped by a lovely assist, its good to hear him saying the right things. He moves onto the Stoke game full of confidence and with our full support- wouldnt surprise me to see him put Stoke to the sword tbf, their defenders shouldnt be on the same pitch as the likes of Nicklas Bendtner- they'll live with him physically but he'll tear them apart with his touch and movement, just need to support him and we'll beat theseDB10GOONER wrote:One of the problems with Benny is he talks a good game, but he can't actually play a good game. If his talent was even 1% of what he thinks it is he would be a modern day Pele.![]()
Gyan pissing off like that must have made bendtner feel like he has won the lotto - in the space of a few days he has gone from a player having to beg sunderland and stoke to take a chance on him to a player that is now the mackems main man up front thus confirming his belief that he truly is the worlds best striker
PS Can anybody resize our mackem friends photo's please ?

To be fair, aye, I actually keep replying just to try and get us onto page 11 so that I wont need to see the dodgy sized screen every time I open the thread! Not many replies to go now and we'll be on a new page, I'll get smaller pics next time because I can tell how much the first ones have been appreciated so i'll need new ones to satisfy the massive demand

Bendtner is loving being the main man though- just as well mind, we're playing with so little belief that we need a lad with confidence who is happy to be the main man in the team. He's going to be a big favourite, I can tell!
