Seriously what is the point in this new contract ?? :? In the last transfer window we have offloaded cesc nasri and denilson (all midfielders) and the guy is still no nearer to getting his chance with us  I like the guy but am doubtful he will make it with us so just let him go and allow him a reasonable chance to make a career elsewhere instead of just trying to get a few extra zero's on a future fee

Why are you doubtful he will make it with us, whenever i have seen him play he has looked mustard.

Another couple of seasons on loan and he should be ready, everyone these days seems to think that players have to be first team regulars by the time their 17 or else they wont make it. Look at the lad Cleverly at the Mancs, 22 years old and just starting to get his chance after a few years on loan.

Time will tell by i recon this lads the real deal and will be the new Ray Parlour for us.

I agree with this. He's English too, so well worth the weight in gold.

:barscarf: Happy with this, with the home grown rule coming in as well he is well worth the contract extension

Scored on his debut for the Hammers too, like others said shame he's not got a prem loan this season

moist just thinking about it. ha ha ha
I have to disagree. Loaning him out to a championship team will prove nothing. He has experience their already. It would have been better to send him to a Bolton lets say, as this will actually prove if he is premier league quality.

I honestly dont see him breaking into our first team. And think giving the guy a new contract is a mistake.

Didn't there give Simpson,J.E.T,Randall extended contracts then....you know.I agree it's pointless putting him out on loan to the championship,he should have been given his chance this season in the P/L considering how thin our squad is same goes for Bartley.

Lansbury looks useful. He's young, he's a grafter, he's got good skill and isn't shot shy. We've had worse at the club.

Agree with this and he hasn't been given a proper chance yet to show what he can do (Denilson, Diaby, Eboue, Bendtner all had years of wasted opportunity)

Agreed, I watched Watford a fair bit 2 seasons ago when Cleverley and Lansbury were on loan there together and they were brilliant. I believe Lansbury to be just as good as Cleverley and am baffled they loaned him to a championship outfit. Hopefully we give him a fair chance. Glad we've signed him up to a new deal. :barscarf: .
