He got to go!!!and take his backroom staff with him and then we will have a chance of winning trophies.

I thank him for what he did for us in the beginning BUT the last 7 years he has failed to build on that success and is trying to finish what he started at Monaco. He has systematically eroded our heritage and distance the club from the core fans and treats us like annoying gnats. His unobtainable fantasy of building a dominating team of cheap imported youth has plunge us from the invincibles, the ''galacticos'' of the P/L,a team EVERYONE FEARED into a also rans in such a short space of time it's criminal neglect.

He's tactically useless,he can't motivate the team and that's for the last 4/5 seasons,he constantly buys other clubs youth players but are we going to see any results??.By the look of him against Swansea it seemed to me that signings made were not his but forced on him because of the disgusting tanking we got from Manure. He has mismanaged the youth players so instead seeing playing benefits all we get is financial benefits, his inflexibility by sticking to a 4-3-3 which restricts our players and now easily countered by the likes of Blackburn etc and the fixation on french league players while missing out on the rest of the worlds players which our rivals pick them up but then again thanks to wenger we can't attract top class players anymore as we can't win jack-shit because of him.

Wenger and his cronies out.....

Its not enough and more signings are needed in January but Arteta looks really good.
Mertsacker may come unstuck in the Prem because of his pace. Cant see Arsenal in the top four this season but the signings were much needed.
I wanted Wenger out last season but he is going nowhere so will get behind the team.

What frustrates me is that in Arteta, Wenger brought in an experienced Premier League player, who will hit the ground running - the type of players that we should regularly bring into the squad. He did it once before with Sol - again an experienced Premiership player who was immense for us. Instead, he takes the chance on players from different leagues, taking a gamble that they might fit in. I share your concerns wit Mertersacker - great player but is he the right player for us? We shall see.

Too late to get on Wengers back - no point him going now. He has to be in place till Xmas at least - evaluate the team, and if he hasnt turned it around, relieve him of his duties and give someone else a chance to rebuild the team in the next transfer window.

I love the man for what he brought to the club in his first 8 years but since then it's been one disaster after another, he has lost the plot big time, he has repeatedly failed to address known issues with the team and his tactical stupidity and lack of a plan B of any sort are just fucking laughable.

So for me I still want him gone. But being a football fan I am also fickle as fuck and if he turned it round and won the CL or PL this season then I'd want him to stay and continue being successful.

It's not personal for me, I just want what's best for the team.

The problem is I cannot see him changing enough of what needs to be changed to be successful again and that is very sad.

Whoever said they wish he'd never come to us is being a bit silly tbh. The man won us TWO DOUBLES and an UNBEATEN PL and playing the best attacking football anyone has ever seen ffs. But that shouldn't grant him a eternal pass either.

For me, this season is about supporting the team, not Wenger. Club first, all else second. 8)
was about to write my opinion, but read db10's and it spared me the trouble. top post db10 agree 100% there.

you are still a *word censored*, mind though

everyone who's here for a while knows i defended the man until last season, when he failed again to strengthen the team in the areas that my grandma who has alzheimer's could realize we should have adressed.

whenever i have any positive thought about the man i can't help but thinking "but there's the man who made manuel fucking almunia the number 1 at arsenal for THREE FUCKING SEASONS!"

I still think we'll finish 4th. I can see Liverpool starting well and then collapsing. We'll get it by default!

IF he strengthens in January and we manage to get top 4 and win something he'll have got me slightly back on side. What can I say, I'm fickle!

"If he makes signings in January"

Seriously, you think he's going to do that? He even came out and admitted he only signed in the summer because of injuries, not because the squad was not good enough like everyone else in world football can see! Nothing has changed, he won't admit his or the teams failings, he wants to continue signing youngsters, he is happy with a top 4 place, he continues to lie on a regular basis. This club simply cannot move forward with him in charge.

The biggest problem I have with Wenger is that he doesnt seem to get 'hurt' with the teams performances like us fans do. Worse still... he seems to be obsessed with making bullshit excuses for them.

The turning point for any sane person would have been the 4-4 game at Newcastle. Thats when it should have really hit home and he should have accepted that there are big problems, rolled his sleeves up, and really gone for it in the Transfer Market.

But... no. He went in with players 'for the future' totally neglecting the teams deficiencies, and thats without even considering the strong likelyhood of Cesc & Nasri having to leave. Did he really think he could convince them to stay? If a player doesnt show commitment, tell them to fuck off EARLY, and make preparations for replacements. Dont drag it out to the last week of the transfer window, you spineless *word censored*.

The Liverpool game was another point where he should have felt hurt. But he chooses to sit idly and ignore everyone. It took the calamatous Old Trafford defeat for the idiot to even bother, and even then, the buying of Mertersacker was because he knew Vermaalen wont be back for months.

He is an idoit of a clusterfuck that needs to be kicked hard. But... we have to stick with him hopefully until xmas when the next man can make use of the transfer window OR he proves that he has changed.

No still want him gone. If he wasn't so stubborn and invested in the team a few years back we would of won the league at least twice. Can't forgive him for that

Have you watched any of our prem games this season? We will finish 7-12, losing around one tird of our games.

Yeah ok mate, because you know that don't you? Its called an opinion and I stick by it. I did say 'by default' I was at no point saying we were great. Redknapp doesn't do consistancy and Liverpool WILL collapse I'm sure of it. I don't think anyone else in the prem is better than us simple as.
Seriously, you think he's going to do that?
I said IF. IF. At no point did I say he would.

And what makes you think they will collapse? If there's one team in the premier league you can be sure will collapse under pressure, then that team is Arsenal, simple as.

Up until the 8-2 I've always been prepared to back him, if only on the strength of what he did in his first 8 years, but it's harder and harder to put any faith in the man when he continually fails to address the same problems year after year.

It's been blindingly obvious to everybody over the last few years that if playing wonderful football and walking the ball into the net doesn't work then we have no plan B. How many times have we gone into games against the likes of Stoke or Bolton and the like knowing exactly how they are going to play against us, yet we still seem utterly incapable of dealing with them. This is even more frustrating given that we proved last year we had the talent to get results against the big teams (Chelsea, Barca and Utd all losing at the Emirates)

Also I've lost count of the number of players to have left never to be properly replaced, seemingly on account of the fact that Wenger is to stubborn to admit that he got it wrong. Aside from RVP and maybe Wilshire we now don't have any players in the squad that are going to cause opponents to think "oh s**t, so and so is playing" and for a club that we are constantly being told is a model of success in the transfer market this is a terrible state to be in. Think Arteta and Benayoun looked decent enough against Dortmund, and bought a bit of experience into the midfield, but we hardly had to battle against Europe's elite to sign them, did we?

I'll always support the players but I think it is time for a change, If having a club go from 49 games unbeaten to one which is four nil up at half time and finishes up hanging on for a point isn't a sign of failure then I don't know what is!! I know as fans we don't have the right to expect to win a s**tload of trophies every year, but spending thousands a year to see great players walk away and be replaced by inexperienced youth players who often are simply not up to it is frankly unacceptable.
