There are such basic failures in the Arsenal team. As others have said, we just don't practice defending. Arsene's answer to last season was to change to zonal marking instead of man to man....not to coach defending! Arsenal don't prepare to face the team they are playing, they just go out and play the same way against everyone. It's astounding that the media don't make more of the fact that Arsenal are the most obvious footballing team in history! Even monks in remote Buddhist monasteries in China are aware that Wenger will play 4-3-3 tappy tappy, no defending football!!

But the point is that Wenger fields a team and can reasonably expect a player like Koscielny to clear that instead of scoring an own goal....let's be fair here, Wenger is at fault for a lot but there's too many individual errors from players that are good enough to do better.

The buck stops with the AW. If he is being fucked over by the board then he needs to start his own public protest.

Remaining stuck to his seat looking stressed during the game is sending out the wrong signals to everyone. It is a sign of defeat and no idea how to change it.
Players deserve a rocket - again that is AW's job to knock them into shape.

In the meantime AW is dragging this great club into the gutter because of his myopic vision of how we should play the game. He must swallow his pride fess up to being responsible and either change his ways or fuck off.

Not sure what planet you live on but when you go to a place like Ewood Park, 3 goals should be more than enough to win a game for you. None of the problems that have been evident for a while have been solved over the summer that is plain to see and we have been fed the same old lines from the club and wenger. The defence still seems to look like headless chickens at set pieces and we seem determined to never hold a lead in a game long enough to bag a second

We've been throwing defenders (of varying quality) at the problem for three or four years now. The issue isn't the personnel, it's the fact that we simply do not practice defending. Wenger has no idea how to coach a defence, in fact from what i've seen of Arsenal training sessions, all we seem to do to prepare for a game is run up & down the training pitch, a couple of games of five a side & jump over some cones. It's a fucking shambles.

Sadly, Wenger is far too stubborn to admit he needs help & draft in Keown or another proper defensive coach.

The problem is that they haven't been of "varying quality". With the exception of the injury plagued TV they have been consistently poor quality!

AW has just spouted sh1t about the fragile confidence in defence following the 8-2 defeat at OT.

This is total tripe on the basis that 3 of the 4 defenders didn't play in that game. Djourou can be forgiven as a sub playing out of position but Sagna, Merte and Santos didn't play at OT.

Kos might be frazzled but Ches continues to play well, probably player of the month despite shipping a shed load of goals.

If we are the best no plan b required. We are not the best so..........On the way back painfully from Blackburn, ffs we looked quite dangerous lumpimg it up! Arsene ................... out in January, give the team and the manager 3 months.....and 4th place with the chavs & red/blue manc *word censored* is a result (acceptable 4 any Afc manager the next few years) now! We will miss last 16 of champions league when we are not their next year I fear!

I just couldn't believe how we folded in the 2nd half. One own goal is embarrassing - but two? Such a depressing, spineless defensive performance. Someone has to carry the can for the team's accelerating demise, otherwise goodness knows where it will all end. The Championship? I am unable to see how Wenger can continue as Arsenal Manager. We need a new manager, new ideas and a new direction for the club - now.
