* EMIRATES CUP *

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Post by Ted B »

Is it 100% certain that we are going to have one at our stadium again this year?

I desperately need to go if yes, with a particular friend. 8)

If so, what are the teams or where can i find the date information etc?

:D

It's almost guarenteed. Mr Edelman spoke about it in his notes on the financial results. Along with the upcoming concerts by Bruce Springsteen the Emirates cup is a very good earner for the club.

Emirates cup is confirmed for 2nd and 3rd August. Teams involved will be Arsenal, Real Madrid, Juventus and the team2smooth who always get raised eyebrows around the stadium when they play in womens clothing.

No offical date or teams yet but exspect similar to last season.. I think at least two teams will be sponsored by Emirates themselves and also all teams have to be sponsored by NIKE.

It was at this season's Emirates cup where I found the belief we could be challengers this year, RVP's goal against Inter was funking awesome, and left me full of hope he could propel our challenge. Pity he's been out most of the season, but his comments after the Tourny about the team were spot on. I js=ust hope he comes back and stays back this time.
