Fury v birtha /Mayweather v ortiz tongiht

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Fury v birtha /Mayweather v ortiz tongiht

Post by northbankbren »

Kicks off this weekend with some really good fights. Bredis Precott who you'll all know for koing khan takes on paul mcloskey, who you may remember lost to khan in his last fight.

Mcloskey is moving down to lightweight for this so should be interesting to see how he does at the weight.

The same night Vitali Klischko takes on Tomas Adamek for the wbc heavyweight title. Adamek is a real talent but for me isnt a natural hevyweight, think Vitali's class will shine through.

The weekend after Tyson Fury defends his new titles live on channel 5 against american Nicolai Firtha, dont expect his to be a freat fight, but just good to see boxing back on terristrial tv. Know very little of firtha, but think fury will be to much and win on points. It also being used for advertising for the big one later on in the night.

Floyd Mayweather VS Victor Ortiz. Sadly this fight has been purchased by primetime over here so will be £15 ppv. But i'll be watching stream an will post link here.

Again Ortiz is a real talent, his last fight against berto he showed a real warriors spirit, something that was lacking a couple of years back when he effictively quick against marcos midana. Since then he's moved up to welterweight and has looked the business. A real tough gung ho fighter.

But I just cant look past mayweather for this fight. He's just too skilled and far far to quick. He'll fight his usual cautious game and pick ortiz off on the counter. I'll go for floyd on points or late stoppage.

Although watching first episode of 24/7 all not well in mayweather camp, him and floyd sr been at each others throats again, probably staged tho.

Cant wait for mayweather fight. :barscarf:

good win for fury earlier, came back well from 3rd round. Needs to improve and lose a bit of weight and get into proper shape. But exciting to watch.
