Re: Arsenal v Bolton
Not sure I can agree with your optimism Chippy, I think Shrewsbury are a credible threat and defeat to them would be another major nail in he Wenger coffin. The Premier League title is already beyond us, Champions League trophy is almost certainly out of reach so that leaves just the FA Cup and the beer cup as our only realistic chances of silverware. I think with that in mind, the Shrewsbury match is massive for us.Chippy wrote:Thought I'd open this up early as, no disrespect to Shrewsbury, it is the next proper test for the team.
Luckily I do not have tix for it. After today's showing I'm not at all optimistic, but I can't see us losing.
Have we really sunk this far?

Am over for this one - had forgotten about it completely until I got the email from ryanair telling me to check in online
Words cannot express the level of apathy I have for attending a game and supporting this team
I attend because I love Arsenal and cos after paying for my season tickets I may as well attend an odd game but if I am truthful a lot of the reason I am going now is that I am hoping each time it will be the day that the fans finally vent their anger in full at the board and wenger (though not in that order
). If the next 5 games pan out as the first 5 games have and wenger is still 100% in charge then I will stop going for the rest of this season as my slim hopes for a managerial change will have all but evaporated
As for the game itself who knows how it will turn out
Elbows davies will def try to latch onto kos which will lead to problems without a doubt. Cahill will bust a gut to show what we missed out on and will probably break up rvp in the process (either that or frustration will get the better of rvp and he will get sent off). Diaby will be back to add some physicality (
) to our midfield and will continually lose possession as boltons midfield deny him time to fanny around on the ball (
). Theo will destroy 54 year old paul robinson and will be proclaimed a world beater after scoring a goal despite hitting the first man with 80% of his crosses with 10% also going over the bar
). However in the last few minutes with defeat or a draw staring us in the face an error from zat knight will salvage our day and we will be reminded of the great spirit in this squad
