Why is there a different attitude towards AW on matchdays?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why is there a different attitude towards AW on matchdays?

Post by topcat »

Tell me why.. when i come on here, at least 90% of you want wenger out...
But yet.. before the blackbrn game most of the fans i looked around at were singing his name..

Fascinates me how theres a completely different attitude towards Wenger on here than there is at the matches.

I believe some of you that say you want wenger out just say it to fit in on here, then go to matches and sing his name..

Well done T.C. that has to be the most ridiculous post that I have ever seen on here... how many members are actually on here at any given time, 50-100 max and then compare that number to how many we get on a match day, it's a drop in the ocean pal....

I know you're here fishing. Either that or you're very dim.

The problem with Arsenal these days is that a lot (the majority) of people who go to games are AKB. The old-school support is no longer there as they've been priced out. I shout "Wenger just fuck off" every home game. All I get is dodgy looks, although no-one has fronted me yet....... If you go to the Emirates the place is full of JCL prawn-sandwich brigade. The best chance of a protest would be at an away game. Spurs away always has the most old-school suppport but we wouldn't sing Wenger out there in front of the scum. I'd say Chelsea away is the game that protest may be seen if it carries on like this. The game is on Sky and it will sell out to high credits, which will price out red members who largely haven't got a clue (I know a lot of Red Members are die-hard Arsenal as you can be, but a lot are out on a day-trip).

He's fishing, I also get looks of dissent from the AKB crowd if I shout anything remotely dodgy towards Wenger, I even got odd looks shouting at Roshity at the Udinese home game.... it does look like Top Cat is reverting back to his old ways of a year ago... it didn't take long.. What was he's other user name... Gallas Voice?? :?

Fuck I've been rumbled, you're so right, I'll say anything to fit in as I would hate to be seen as having my own opinion or being considered controversial.

It's not really a reasonable question though is it? The OG has never claimed to be the majority voice of the fans. Even on here we have differing opinions. You wont hear me singing "Wenger out" nor will you hear me singing "Only one Arsene Wenger" at matches because I refuse to attend the souless bowl for as long as that senile baffoon is at the helm. Boycotting the matches are the only form of protest the board will understand.

i heard that in the concorce before the game too but that seemed to be just one group determined to sing up for wenger but when it was started during the game very few joined in and it soon died out, think the away fans are spit about 50/50 about wenger just now........think they all agreed "BIG FUCKING GERMAN, WE'VE GOT A BIG FUCKING GERMAN" though.
