1. I've followed them for too long to jump ship when things go bad.

2. Sad to admit but I've built a major part of my social life meeting the lads for a gallon of beer before and after the match that it would be hard to give up. Sometimes the football just seems to get in the way of a good drinking session.

3. The missus would try and drag me round fucking shopping centres on Saturday afternoons or round the houses of people I neither know or care about for "Lunch" on Sundays.

4. If I did give it up and Wenger fucks off, I'll be gutted as it will be to the back of the queue and then having to suffer ST in the upper tiers for an eternity.

I choose to have a family and many I know that have done similar have gave up attending football due to costs. I however made sure I didn't. So attending matches including all of the above is my vice.

Also regarding the merchandise I think this is mainly aimed at fans making a day of it, soaking in the atmosphere, buy a or two gift maybe and some food. I understand this but its not for me. I'm not far so I eat at home if not I know several places were better to eat then inside. Same goes for drinking.

Baba, after the debacle against the scum at the grove last season I decided that I would not attend another game until wenger left but would renew my season tickets in the meantime as I cannot downgrade to silver (only got the season tickets last season). After the usual summer shenanigans I felt sure that there would be an almighty backlash from the fans at the 1st home game v the scousers so decided to attend (of course nothing happened though ). As I have said on the mackems match thread I will be going over for the game v the mackem fans but will not bother staying the extra night to watch these c**ts and their senile dickhead manager prance around the place again on the sunday. I know that having paid for my ticket the club wont be out of pocket by my non attendance but I still believe that the thousands of empty seats on matchdays will worry the club so in that regard I am doing my bit.

I class myself as militant (not violent) by nature and very very much support the need for a major protest. That there hasnt been one to date not only saddens me but also shocks and frustrates me In case you havent noticed the club can put any kind of spin they want on matchday attendance figures but the one thing that they cannot sweep under the carpet is a big public protest and that is the route us fans should be going.
